This was a very good mexican restaurant but unfortunately it is now closed. I loved their soups and other menu items.

Don Guacamole's the Mexican place with great food and an unfortunate name is closed. They expanded too fast and fell apart.

Food and service was excellent! I'm normally a little cautious about restaurants I haven't been referred to, but this was a great surprise. Food was excellently prepared and was authentic Mexican cuisine. Prices are very reasonable as well. I raved about the place to my co-workers. They went the next night and completely agreed with my impression!! A person usually... More

Vancouver is not known for it's attention to Mexican cuisine and for that reason I was pleasantly surprised to find the quality of food at Don Gaucamole. Not only was the food well presented, very authentic and generous, but the service was splendid and attentive. The one and only disappointment was the limited and overpriced postres selection. That said, I... More

We've eaten here almost every time we come to Vancouver from the island. It was more authentic before they expanded a few years back, we felt like we were in Mexico in the original space, but it still has that special something you feel without getting on a plane and flying 5 hrs to get. Back then you could see... More

I ordered 8 tacos for my dinner. They are featured in the starters section of the menu. You can get 4 tacos for $10 which is $0.50 more than what you pay for at La Taqueria. The tacos were definitely not as good as the ones from La Taqueria. There was less meat sauce/juice in these tacos. None of the... More

Well first of all I would not go to Vancouver to eat Mexican food, however, after a long long time Vancouver has been blessed with a few good Mexican restaurants, and one of them is Don Guacamole's on Robson. I should let you know that I am originally from Mexico and have now lived many years in Vancouver. So, I... More

I loved this restaurant. They give complimentary taco chips with dip when you arrive. The food is reasonably priced. The mexican is genuine fare and absolutely delicious. The meals I had there were so fresh and felt so wholesome. Although i am very adventurous and like to try different restaurants especially when i am away from home, I ate here... More

We were picking up some food to go, on our way out of town, with a boat to catch. Asking the server how long an order would take seemed prudent, and when she said 10-15 minutes, it was a no brainer. We would be on our way and not be late. Time was ticking and no food. Meanwhile I could... More

Was staying at the Listel across the street and decided to pop in after we got in late. Excellent food, although expensive and small portions. Good drinks too- but they start at $9.
