Set on the corner of Davies and Denman, this quiet lounge has a 180 degree view of English Bay. The food was delicious, fairly priced, and the service was A-One!

Nice location overlooking the bay to watch the sun go down. We enjoyed a few cocktails and other drinks. The service was good. The daily special was a winner too - 10 tasty chicken wings for a great $3.90 value. Our group got 3 plates of these. The calamari was great - tender and succulent. The butter chicken flat bread... This is the kind of place to go to when you want to sit comfortably and enjoy the view. It's on the second floor and is at the foot of Davie and Denman Streets, with windows around two sides. We received a warm welcome from the bartender/hostess and were told to choose where we'd like to sit. Everyone, staff and... More

Only ate a small dinner that was unremarkable. It was the staff and clientele that made an impression on me.

The view is absolutely amazing there and the staff is super friendly. The bar tender there makes one of the best old fashioneds in the city and that's saying something ! They are open late which is a bonus.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon. View is amazing. It was quite noisy in there but obviously that would depend on whose there at the time. Started off with a cocktail and was disappointed that it was one of those icy slushy ones which I wasn't expecting. Switched it wine, the Rothschild Sauvignon Blanc was excellent. We didn't eat but... More

We went to the Bayside Lounge and had dinner and cocktails. The view was fantastic of English Bay. The food was regular pub food but was tasty.

Don't go too late in the evening if you don't want to be blasted out by the noise - you can hear it from the sidewalk, but if you go earlier in the evening they make a mean bowl of seafood chowder and the service is excellent.

Friendly service, good menu choices, bar open late. Handy if you are staying at the Best Western Sands as it's just above the hotel.
