We enjoyed our lunch at Solly's. The latkes, smoked turkey and Matzo Ball soup were all very good. If you have enough room, try the cinnamon buns. These too are very good.

This small Jewish bagel restaurant is a must for anyone visiting Vancouver. Wide selection of bagels with friendly and efficient service. Menu is broad, but not overwhelming. Eat in, or take out, you won't regret it.

We met for lunch with family members. The food was good, the wait time acceptable, and the prices reasonable. Quite a varied menu, as well, and I enjoyed both the latkes and the cinnamon buns.

I visited Solly's yesterday and rather than grabbing a cinnamon bun and diving out like I usually do, I opted to order their corn-beef on rye. What a mistake! I was served a measly portion of meat with a consistency that resembled crumbly bacon bits. The bottom slice of toast was burnt and the top was barely toasted. The mustard... More

the service there can be from fantastic to lousy. Wait times vary as well- they don't seem to realize that more staff up front are needed when there are 10 customers in the lineup! It's a nice place but the overall experience can be very hit-and-miss. The staff turnover is pretty constant- new faces there all the time so if... More

Enjoyed breakfast here a couple of times as we were staying locally. Friendly service and good selection of bagel fillings and other baking.

This place has a few sidewalk tables. Nice to sit with a coffee and a pastry and watch Vancouver walk/drive by. Too bad they don't pay attention to the washroom, which is very much below the standard one would expect of a coffee/pastrami on rye/strudel place.

Solly's is most famous among Vancouverites for its cinnamon buns (remember to ask for frosting), but their bagels, rye bread, knishes, rugelach and other baked goods are all excellent too. You can buy to go, but you can also eat and/or drink at the café, which is very friendly, casual and child-friendly. There are boxes of toys for the kids,... More

Solly's may not have the best bagels in Vancouver but they have the hands down best Cinnamon Buns & Babka (basically a chocolate version of a cinnamon bun) that I have ever tasted. I'm not a big fan of very bready cinnamon buns and that's where these really shine. The dough has been worked so thin that each layer is... More

We stopped at Solly's as we wandered down The street looking at all the great shops and were thrilled with the meal that we had there. I had the best hot pastrami on rye I've ever had, served with a pickle and crisp chips. I asked for loads of mustard and got exactly what I wanted - I have to... More
