Fantastic Place For Oysters & Caesars

This is our second experience at Rodney's... the first was for a friends birthday dinner, but sadly we arrived very late and were not able to eat. This is experience was just the two of us for Oysters, some beers, and a couple of caesars. The table was excellent, clean and well placed with a great... read more

This place is high energy so don't expect a quiet romantic dinner here. Weekend tend to have long line and they don't take reservation, so be sure to get there early. They have an extensive beer menu. The oysters are by far the best I've ever had. We didn't order much of other food except clam chowder and that wasn't... More

Been here before, this time was better as the waiter was a nice guy. The food is always good, just depends on which waiter you get.

This is the spot in Yale Town to go if you like great staff, always a good variety of oysters an other sea foods. Limited selection of wines and spirits but the choices are good. This would be my always go to place if I am in Vancouver.

I visited Rodney's with colleagues while on business in Vancouver. The restaurant was packed and noisy so definitely not a place for a quite meal. We had an great waiter who was accommodating and friendly. We shared some oysters which was the highlight of the meal (as it should be at this restaurant). The main course was really the disappointment.... More

Fun evening out with a friend... the server was slightly helpful. My friend is not a HUGE seafood fan, but was open to suggestions of something not too fishy. He basically laughed at her, which I can kind of understand considering it is a seafood restaurant, but I had dragged her there! I order some fresh shucked oysters and he... More

Came early for lunch, great table for 2 upstairs, super friendly and helpful server. My wife had the Pan Fried Oysters, I had the Oysters Rockefeller, and shared a bottle of Pinot Blanc. What a treat, prepared to perfection, compared to another recent restaurant visit that must be embarrassed in comparison. At Rodney's, we had fresh oysters - you can... More

If you're looking for Seafood but want a Joe Forte's alternative then Rodney's Oyster House is it. They do get busy so I'd recommend reservations. We ate until we burst. Oysters, clams, Shrimp cocktail, Oysters Rockefeller, Manhattan clam chowder and bread to sop it all up along with a great IPA. Thank you Fairmont Gold for recommending Rodney's Oyster House.... Visited on a Friday night happy hour. Tired after traveling all day, and dragged ourselves out. As soon as we entered we became happy. Greated warmly, sat quickly at bar, and Oyster shucker/bar tender greeted us, talked with interest and made rec commendations. Oysters were fabulous and can't beat the price. Also had fried oysters and potato wrapped scallops, all... More
