We visited the Yaletown, Vancouver location of this seafood chain. It was a busy night but they managed to squeeze us in without reservations. The menu has a variety of choices (including beef) but remains true to the oyster title. We ordered a couple dozen assorted westcoast oysters, steamed mussels and the chowder. All were excellent. The atmosphere is fun... More

Been here multiple times. Last night I was sitting at the bar and the guy behind the bar was incredibly rude. (One sleeve tattoo, glasses). He challenged me on everything I ordered. He clearly forgot my soup and after a long time waiting I asked him kindly if it was almost ready. He said "you think I just take orders... More

OK, I'm biased. I'm a regular at Rodney's in Toronto and a transplanted Maritimer. Eating PEI oysters in Yaletown was indescribably great. Plump juicy succulent east coast oysters! Busy spot so make a reservation. I really enjoyed the fish stew. And a few beers. And (lost count) oysters. The service was deserving of honourary Maritime citizenship. If you're in Vancouver... The waiters were very friendly, attentive and very good-looking! They suggested good meals. The fish stew and the New England clam chowder were delicious.

Great food, great atmosphere and fun waiters. Rodney's is a tradition in Yaletown and always great for all seafood and, of course, oysters.

Stopped by for low tide snack with 3 adults and a 5 year old. Service was friendly but slow as they do get busy with their oyster deals. Mussels and raw oysters were amazing! Garlic prawns ok but somehow less flavorful (appeared to be cooked in identical butter garlic base as mussels but flavor was less robust-still tasty just not... More

We had to decide whether to lunch at Rodney's Gastown or Yaletown location. Our decision to dine in Yaletown was influenced by the availability of street parking and more importantly because the other location did not open until 5:00 PM. Lunch comprised of 2 clam steamers, a large fish and chips and coffee. What we couldn't understand was why the... More

Caught up w out of country friends here and had fine food and service to boot. Fresh crab was a big hit as well as the Fish Stew. Plan to return again when seeking a Yaletown restaurant that gives a quick exit from downtown area.

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighborhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
