The food and service here are great. I had the New England clam chowder which was chock full of tender clams floating in a mildly seasoned cream broth. I also had the prawns sauteed in garlic. My husband had the fried oysters which were huge and plump. We shared a mixed green salad. I would return again in a heartbeat.

Had a ball last weekend pounding oysters and eating seafood at one of the local hangouts in Vancouver's Yaletown. Rodney's is geared towards the young at heart, the alcohol flows in abundance, the music is so loud you practically have to scream across the table to be heard (HUGE Fleetwood Mac fans apparently as they played a bunch of the... It has a reduced price menu from 4-6pm which is the same great, fresh shells but more affordable. The place is homey, fun and the wait staff very knowledgeable and polite. It is located in Yaletown section of the center city.

My husband and I are oyster lovers and we try any restaurant that has "oyster bar" in the name. Vancouver is a big cosmopolitan city with many seafood restaurants but if you hanker for fresh oysters - there is really only one choice - Rodney's. Fresh, the widest variety and great little sauces to try on top. Every couple of... More

If you love your seafood, you will not be disappointed! Start with the oyster selections (they probably had more than a dozen varieties), which come with selections of dressings. After all you are in the oyster house! We also had chowder, seafood stew, and pasta. All hit the spot! We were lucky to be seated rather quickly even though we... More

The name says it all so no surprise non-seafood choices were limited! Fortunately, the rib-eye was delicious so we didn't have to listen to the non-seafood lover complain! Two thumbs up on the Coco Curry Shrimp and the Scallop Galette. The atmosphere was like New Orleans or Key West. Totally cool and delicious.

We've been to Rodney's before, but this occaison was tasty with an after taste... The food tasted wonderful. I started with 4 Oysters then had the CoCo Curry Shrimp which was fabulous. The wait staff was excellent and watchful. This is a great and very fun place to visit. The music ranges from 60's to Dean Martin so it hold... More

Ate here while in town for a week. Wish I'd gone more times. Great happy hour, fantastic oysters. I only got through two dozen haha. Great service. Great low key and unpretentious atmosphere. Would go back in a minute.

I love my Caesar drink, and ouster selections. They have a few options for happy hr, so that's a plus but the oysters on happy were plain ol' fanny bay. Blah. Some of the oysters were on the darker side too.
