I consider myself a sushi snob. There are sushi places on every corner in Vancouver, and if you don't know where to go, it can be overwhelming. I have only every been to the one on Davie street, and have had delicious, incredible sushi EVERY time. The service is quick and attentive. Its small in there, but they don't push... More

Food was great but the service for a little abrupt. The place is small so difficult to get in but once inside the atmosphere is very loud and Japanese

Went to Kadoya on Denman last night (the Davie Street location is closed Mondays for some reason) and we really enjoyed it. It has an upstairs patio so was great to sit outside. We didn't really like the sound of the chef's special rolls so ordered the dinner bento boxes and were quite impressed with them. You got a miso... More

Looking for a quick bite and found this quaint sushi gem located up a staircase on the corner of Davie & Denman. Service was pleasant and quick and the food is fresh and delicious! We sat inside and, as we are visiting, noticed the stream of locals lining up to order take away -- always a sign of a good... More

We try to visit one of the two Vancouver locations when weare in town. The decor is pretty basic in the Davie St outlet, but the food really is what it's all about. The service is always spot on...but the food and it's presentation is outstanding.

We visited the Kadoya Denman Street location on a busy, warm weather Friday night and it was a great experience. The food was excellent, service very efficient, atmosphere loud but acceptable. The elevated balcony provides some pretty interesting people watching moments. We have several sushi plates and the tuna was some of the finest I have ever had, period. Melt... More

My husband and I are from Florida and I can honestly say, I think Kadoya has ruined sushi for us back home. I have not stopped thinking about our meal and I could eat there everyday for the rest of my life. The restaurant is small and packed. The service is fast and efficient; I think they are trying to... We ate dinner twice at Kadoya while visiting Vancouver in early July 2013. Each time we ordered a 'dinner box' (there are three choices), and found the food to be fresh, tasty, and served quickly. Prices for each dinner box ranged from $12.99 to $15.99 per person. On each visit, our meals included miso soup, a variety of sashimi (tuna... More

My friend work at downtown Vancouver. She has recommended kadoya. Today I tried their chef's recommendation. They are very creative and delicious. One thing i have to mention, they serve food super fast. The price is also very reasonable.
