Japanese food in the heart of Downtown. Good selections and great prices. Service not bad, we had a table for two at first but it grew into 5 in few minutes. No problem. They just readjust seamlessly. I like the oysters served in small portions. Two of us are locals and been to quite a few Japanese restaurants in town.... More

My wife and I ate here while in Vancouver. If you are looking for ambience, this is not for you. If you want authentic Japanese food and great prices, this is the place. We enjoyed wonderful sushi, sashimi and gyoza. The waitress was friendly even as busy as they were.

We went there for Sushi dinner since we didn't want to go far away from the townhouse we were staying on Hornby St.and did the Trip advisor research. There's really not much ambience but the food is good and cheap ! We were quite happy 😀 We would definitely go back again when we will be in town.

I always make a point of going to Kadoya when in Vancouver. Sushi is great, and service is friendly and quick. I always order one of the Kadoya Flowers, which are giant pretty sushi rolls in the shape of flowers - impressive and tasty artistry. Only disappointment was that when I ordered the crab sunomono salad, it was topped with... More

Very tasty and fresh sushi. Price is more than fair (I would say it is actually cheap!). Service is great. Conveniently located in downtown, it is worth the visit. Totally recommend.

I have eaten TONS of sushi in Vancouver. What always catches me is original/innovative rolls and the freshness of sashimi. Kadoya had it all! We went on a whim, hoping that online reviews would lead us to somewhere new and exciting and it most certainly did! Kadoya on Davie is officially one of my favourites. The salmon and tuna sashimi... A popular restaurant: I was lucky to get a table at 7pm on a Saturday night. Chose a selection of nigiri style sushi with a tempura prawn maki roll, miso soup and a 375ml bottle of sake to wash it down. Bill came to $55 CAD total including service and taxes.

The only stand-out for us was the Canada Roll which was quite tasty. The beef teriyaki in my dinner box was a little fatty while the chicken katsu was mostly dark meet and I'm not the biggest fan. Portion sizes are enormous however and you will definitely not go hungry. Price point is also relatively cheap which I suppose explains... More

Huge sushi, really good taste... cheaper, what's else? I loved their spicy tuna sashimi and fancy rolls... Clean and kind guys, I'd like a Ketodoya franchising.

The sushi, and specially the sashimi, were excellent. The sashimi was even one of the best I have ever had! Having said that, the service was not good. We got one dish we didn't order and when made a comment we got the answer that this is what we ordered. At the end, when they saw we didn't touch the... More
