One of the top Sushi Bars around

The place is really good. Great prices, good food always a line out the door for take out and getting in. Everything is so good. The good value is ordering sashimi by the piece. you can order in 3's. For 9 pieces for tuna sashimi was $12.99 for thick melt in your mouth pieces. The rolls and plates... read more

Kadoya Restaurant has good food. We had the karaage chicken, California tempura roll, assorted tempura, rainbow roll, Canada roll, and katsu-don (which was filled with rice) And every dish was excellent. The prices are awesome. The service was good. We wanted to come here a second night, but my younger son chose Red Robin instead (the rest of the family... More

Service was a bit slow to start as it was packed, but once we ordered, everything moved along quickly. Very pleasant service and experience overall.

We wanted good sushi for a light Chinese New Year eve dinner. We Googled "best sushi restaurant in downtown Vancouver" and found Kadoya nearby. What a find? We ordered one sushi/sashima combination for the two of us and it was more than enough for a light meal. Total came to just under $20. How can they serve such fresh food... More

We dropped in at 7 pm on Sunday and waited for about 10 minutes. Once seated they quickly brought menus and drinks orders; they even sent a complimentary bowl of fresh hot edamame to say sorry for the wait (very unexpected, but a really nice touch). The nagiri plate, sushi roll, and teriyaki chicken bowl were all fresh and delicious;... More

Japanese food in the heart of Downtown. Good selections and great prices. Service not bad, we had a table for two at first but it grew into 5 in few minutes. No problem. They just readjust seamlessly. I like the oysters served in small portions. Two of us are locals and been to quite a few Japanese restaurants in town.... More

My wife and I ate here while in Vancouver. If you are looking for ambience, this is not for you. If you want authentic Japanese food and great prices, this is the place. We enjoyed wonderful sushi, sashimi and gyoza. The waitress was friendly even as busy as they were.

We went there for Sushi dinner since we didn't want to go far away from the townhouse we were staying on Hornby St.and did the Trip advisor research. There's really not much ambience but the food is good and cheap ! We were quite happy 😀 We would definitely go back again when we will be in town.

I always make a point of going to Kadoya when in Vancouver. Sushi is great, and service is friendly and quick. I always order one of the Kadoya Flowers, which are giant pretty sushi rolls in the shape of flowers - impressive and tasty artistry. Only disappointment was that when I ordered the crab sunomono salad, it was topped with... More
