The sushi, and specially the sashimi, were excellent. The sashimi was even one of the best I have ever had! Having said that, the service was not good. We got one dish we didn't order and when made a comment we got the answer that this is what we ordered. At the end, when they saw we didn't touch the... More

Kadoya is very small and cozy. Kitchen closes at 2145 so you need to hurry for a late dinner but the food is exceptional. The rolls are incredible I also had the chirashi which is basically a ton of sashimi over a big bed of rice. Great value and great taste. Must-eat in vancouver!

I've been half a dozen times over 4 years and the food and the service are consistently excellent. Value is very good, and the atmosphere is humble but comfortable and friendly.

Tried almost every roll in the menu but I'll stick to the sashimi bento box, awesome! I always ask for the green tea ice cream and I go every single time I'm in Vancouver and everytime I can

We recently tried Kadoya on a visit to Vancouver and loved it. It is a small place, not fancy but apparently a favourite among locals. We ordered several Chef's Special rolls and they were delicious. The service was good. My wife hates trying the unknown but really enjoyed these rolls. Total cost for two $35.00 plus tip. For good food... More

The food was fresh, tasty and portions were large. Really good rolls better than most other sushi places that I've visited lately.

I was a fan of Kadoya's sushi and i used to go a couple times a week, when I was living in downtown a few years ago. I live in the North Shore right now and I haven't found a sushi as good as Kadoya's. However the last couple times I have been there I have noticed that the rolls... More

Great little hole in the wall. Service was fast and efficient. Princess veggy roll is so satisfying you don't even miss the meat. Spicy salmon roll was also great. Prices are great when you compare them to Calgary Alberta.

Everybody else was eating sushi, which looked good. We made the mistake of ordering two cooked dishes, katsudon and vegetable tempura, both of which were ghastly. The katsudon had no taste other than a cloying sweetness. It contained the requisite pork cutlet, egg, and rice but no sautéed onion or anything else to give flavor, just slimy noodles and grated...
