When I came to Vancouver, I was told that even the small sushi restaurant would have the best sushi I have ever had. I must attest that is indeed true. One of my favorite restaurants in Vancouver happens to be Kamei. In fact, I believe they have the best sushi I have ever had!!! The restaurant and the service are... More

Good option for sushi in Vancouver. They have a comprehensive menu, lots of good traditional options and interesting rolls. The cocktail menu is great too. We eat here every time we are in Vancouver.

Good sushi- terribel tempura. Place is busy but the food is average. Walk further downtown and enjoy real sushi and a good location.

Great selection of Japanese food. Ordered a special which included salad and a selection of sushi and sashimi. Wanted a bit more help from the server about the menu selections. Despite this, ended up with a good variety of food that was all delicious. The private rooms and very nice.

Very busy restaurant and you need to have reservations. The two of us did not and had to wait awhile to even sit at the sushi bar which we did not mind. Big menu and lots of choices but whatever you choose you would not be disappointed.

Let me get this out of the way: the tipping still messes with my head. Ok, that done, this Japanese place is by far one of the best I have ever been. The fish and other seafood was fresh and very reasonably priced. Just make sure you dont sit next to a bawling table full of young kids, or bawling... More

We ate at noon and the place was bustling with happy customers of every stripe, all the tables were filled but we were served promptly and professionally. The menu has lots of options and there are many choices for vegetarians as well. We were pleased with our samples, however the gyoza, billed as the very best around, wasn't, in my... More

Excellent meal, good selection of food and variety. Would happily recommend this to anyone else! We had the Calamari Tofu and Akadashi Soup, followed by Cherry Blossom Rolls and Sashimi & Sushi Boat. More than enough food for two people! If I lived in Vancouver, I'd happily come here again.

This was an enjoyable place to have a wonderful meal. The menu is extensive and offers a lot more than typical. Our vegetarian guests had plenty of choices.

There are lots of sushi places in Vancouver. We are not real fans of the food but was curious to explore. Ordering was a bit of a task. We should educate a bit more ourselves before we visit a japanese restaurant again. We tried a few stuff and really enjoyed most of it. If only they could have explained it... More
