the place is small in you will probably have to wait a bit to get in, but once you do, you can see how they make their delicious creations. Had a great time with great food.

I totally agree with the other tripadvisors that this ramen shop has really good stewed pork. Meaty a fatty and honestly the amount of ramen fill you up very quickly. I actually ate half of the ramen and then took the other half home with a take-away box (they charge 25 cents for takeaway box). Service is quick and fast,... More

We felt a bit like we were actually in Japan here! Real, authentic ramen in a very Japanese setting. Since we're not from Canada we had to stop at the nearby grocery store to get Canadian cash to pay for the food (a lot of places in the area don't seem to accept cards at all, even if they're Canadian... I am a Ramen fiend. I love Ramen, and my favorite type of ramen is Tonkotsu Ramen which is indigenous to southern Japan. What makes Tonkotsu Ramen so special is its broth which is made from simmering bones for extended periods of time (I have heard up to 24 hours, but I can not truly speak to this). The result... More

Have been a regular supporter of Kintaro for the past decade. Sadly...a change of ownership last year, began the demise of this " flagship" of ramen noodle joints, in the west end of Vancouver. Sanitation and hygene are now NOT up to my expectations. The place now needs a complete cleaning from the roof to the floor. There are "dust... More

There is usually quite a long line out front of this place. The staff bring out menus and take your order before you get inside. People eat and leave so the line does goes by faster than you would think and once you are seated your food comes out very quickly. I think we waited maybe 20-30 minutes in all.... More

went there last year .Was impressed. However, this year's return was marred by long wait, extra salty and oily broth. Will have to look for better ramen next time in Vancouver

If what you want is just inexpensive good ramen in town , this is the one or perhaps one of the best in Greater Vancouver. No fancy decoration, always long line up, no reservation of seats, crowded seating, eat with wooden chopsticks, sometimes even need to share tables with others plus just eat n go - no hanging around. But... More

What a quaint place .. it was right across the street from our hotel (Times Square Suites Hotel). We watched the lines form for a few hours and watched customers come and go; we decided, "YES" this was the place we were going to go. We were not disappointed. Very Japanese -- we were the only "white" folks in there... More
