This was exactly what I wanted on a cold and wet Vancouver day. Comparing with all the other ramen places I've been to this was among the best. Noodles were perfectly prepared, medium broth was smooth and light while filling, and the amount of food for the price was borderline ridiculous. The site said opened at 12 but there were... More

I have been to Kata Kata in Japan, which is the Ramen capital of the world. We tried several Ramen houses while there and enjoyed every style. The ramen at Kintaro is the most authentic I have found anywhere since being in Japan's ramen capital. They get it right. It is delicious and if you want to get a seat... More

I was sitting in line for a good half an hour to get inside. Inside was very busy and noisy but the service was good and fast. The food was good but not as exaggerated as I was told about, a little bit to fat and strong taste. Portions are very big, and in my opinion a lot without diversity... More

Many times when I go past this restaurant and there are lineups. Fairly good ramen. I had a seat right at the counter so you can see and feel the heat from all the steam.

Located at Derman Street perpendicular to Robson Street, you'd first notice the restaurant's long line: the long queue might scare you but the wait is bearable and definitely worth it. Avoid the peak hours between 11.00 to 14.00 or 18.00 to 20.00 There are a few choices of Ramen ranging from the usual Shio Ramen, Miso Ramen (Kintaro's Best), to... More

Ramen (I tried soy source + pork broth) was decent. Noodles were a bit too much cooked. If it's in Tokyo, this place probably struggles to stay in business. Gyoza was horribly cooked. I think the plate they served me had five gyozas but two were messed up (see the picture) so much I cannot pick up without destroying. Any... More

Wife brought me to this place after a long walk from burrard station. And due to the rain, we managed to secure the seats instantly. Although there was a queue right after. We had the Shoyu Ramen with mid rich soup base and lean pork and Cheese ramen with lean pork. The soup is sooooo awesome. if you are in... More

We found this ramen place in local Yelp and decided to try it. We were so glad that we did! My husband and I went to Kintaro around 2pm to avoid the lunch hour. The line is not too long due to the hour and it moved up very quick. We waited about 20 mins. While we were waiting, we... More

I used to have ramen here at least once a week. I loved this place, the food is amazing. Even if it is very spartan and easy athmosphere, I suggest a stop to Everyone. Avoid Lunch Time at saturdays and sundays ad there is always a long line and it is not possible to book.

Came upon this place purely by accident: was strolling from Stanley Park back to my hotel. The place is very small and, apparently, quite popular with locals. I was lucky to stumble upon it at 4 pm on a weekday when there were not so many visitors. The ramen (I ordered fried port Shoyu ramen) was excellent. You can even... More
