I ate there recently, having been invited out by a friend, while visiting Vancouver. The menu looks good and is very attractive, I tried the salmon rice bowl. The curry was too weak to be remotely close to an Indian dish. The rice seemed to be not a long grain aromatic variety, but more like a par-boiled type. Also, the... More

We have been going to this restaurant for years and I thought it was time to give this place a review. The menu is a combination of Persian, Afghani and Indian cuisine - the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and attentive. We love going here for lunch but beware the portions are generous so... More

My daughters took us here on our first day back to Vancouver for the Christmas holidays. First time and when they told me it was Indian cuisine, I expected the usual tandooris, daahls, etc. But the food was surprisingly different and really good. We ordered the Mediterranean platter, with various dips (humus, among others) with a tasty naan creation called... More

I only had good things to say about this restaurant until my last experience that left me no way but to give a poor rating for it. Two weeks ago we made a reservation for a party of 14 which was agreed. So we invited our guests and arranged the event. But, a week later, someone from East is East... More

I really love this place and try to find excuses to eat there whenever I'm in Vancouver. It's a great place to go with a small group or for a romantic evening. The food is really wonderful and a terrific deal I think. Someone mentioned the feast menu and I agree - if you're hungry and want to experience several... More

I liked this place a lot and thought the food was really good. We ordered very tasty roti, served with a wonderful soup and healthy salad. Took off the last star because of some noise but mostly because waitresses don't know anything you ask about. Some folks might not like the "small plate" meal but I like it that way.... More

This indian restaurant is genuine and really really tasty. IF you're really hungry go for their feast menu. You can order as many dishes as you can eat then. For 21 dollars, considering the food quality, this is really good value.

This is my favorite restaurant for lunch in Vancouver. I often just pop in for the soy chai which is marvellous. It's got a spicy ginger kick thats great for Vancouvers bone chilling cold. The interior is really dim so I prefer going in the fall/winter. The food is consistent and really tasty. I love the flavours and the vegetarian... More

This place is absolutely fantastic! A friend and I were wandering around the neighborhood when we started to get a little peckish and stumbled in. We ordered some different chai's (Green Masala and Almond Milk) to start off with and were amazed, I worked at an Indian restaurant and the owners could not make Chai this good (sorry dears!). Since... More

4 yrs in Vancouver and we had given up on Indian food. Vij's is good but it's expensive. The only other place was the canteen at law school but you can't eat there regularly. we are going to be regular here. It's that good. So, we went for lunch today and first thing was a sample masala chai when you... More
