We visited this eatery this summer while on holiday in BC. The area of Granvilse Street in which it is situated has plenty of other cafes but this stood out as a less pretentious than the others. The service was with a smile and attentive. There was a varied menu to be found and a great range of local craft... More

This is a Vancouver staple. The food and service are going down hill. It is in the neighbourhood so we tried it again. Next time I'll drive to the Red Wagon!

While waiting for my eggs to be hatched as other breakfasts were delivered to tables around me, I should have gotten the eggs benny. As for my breakfast? My 3 pieces of bacon had been cooked to near disintegration, I could taste vinegar on my eggs and well, it was just very disappointing. My friend's breakfast was a measly portioned... More

My daughter just moved around the corner of the restaurant. Since she was still unpacking we came for brunch 3 days in a row! Menu is great, Eggs Benny is FANTASTIC. I had the Egostatic? with Avocado, Tomato and Bacon, My Daughter had an Eggs Benny with Chorizo sausage. Both were amazing. One day the guys had burgers, and both... More

I'm usually a good sport when it comes to allowing a bad experience slide past and giving a 2nd or even 3rd chance for a restaurant to redeem itself. Caffe Barney had its 3rd and final chance.....it gets an 'F' My son and I went on a weekday around 3 pm after an appointment in the area. We were the... More

Met two old colleagues for meal and drinks and really enjoyed our evening until lanky Irish barman went absolutely crazy on us. We are not square jawed frat boys, we biked in the rain to the establishment and were having a quiet conversation over beer. The barman grabbed the beers out of our hands and told us to "get the... A small diner on Granville. Four of us went in at 1 for lunch and had a long wait before being seated. We waited even longer to receive our food after we had ordered. When'd did arrive it was quite good, especially the clam chowder soup. This looks like it's a breakfast place - the majority of folks were eating... More

Caffe Barney is a great place to relax after shopping on South Granville. The staff is friendly, the menu varied and the food is great. The beer selection is very good too.

Being here many times and always having a good experience I definitely recommend anyone in the area to visit. It's a nice pub with great food. I had the seafood linguine, and it was very flavorful with nice selection of seafood in it. Also recommended is the mac and cheese, ...good selection of local micro beers and wine.

While I'm staying in Vancouver in South Granville, this is the place I like to call my local. Barney's is known for its great brunches. I know it for genuinely friendly service, good food and a place to hangout (free wifi) with coffee and friends. There is also a great back patio where you can while away a Sunday lunch.... More
