Great Wait Staff Good Food

Went before the canucks games as it was close and not fast food. Burritto's and Enchiladas with mole very good and alot for your money. Check out the combo plates. Chiken Taco's fine but need more seasoning of some sort. All the wait staff pleasant and good at what they do. Check them out if in... read more

Popular (packed) place in Gastown area with a standard menu but quite good quality food. We had the burrito specials of the day, and they were great. The house made guacamole, and complimentary sauces and chips were tasty with some heat. There is a downstairs room, probably for party groups. Good place to pop in for Mexican before a show.

After my recent European trip, I can't get enough of Spanish & Mexican cuisine, I'm on a tear...got more reviews to write but I digress... Been here for probably a decade or so, a mainstay in this hood. Not just a good corner location, but also another basement level that'll be good for parties, meetings perhaps. Ordered the chicken burrito,... More

Place is pretty busy, but for a good reason. Atmosphere is really nice and the food is awesome. They bring chips and two types of dips which are super good.

Went for lunch on a weekday to find the place packed, so we had to dine at the bar table. Staff is very friendly and quick with their service. They have a great variety of weekday lunch specials, including drinks! For drinks we ordered a strawberry margerita, which was quite average cos it just tasted like strawberry juice, and something... Walked in on a hunch. Should have stayed away. Food is average and dull. Is it because it was Mexican? If this is authentic stuff it is last time I will eat it.

Visited the restaurant a week ago. The service was good they were able to seat us without a reservation and fairly quickly. The food was ok it was nothing amazing. The prices were expensive for what you got and they were surprisingly inflexible with changing menu preferences. The drinks were also fairly expensive for what you got. Overall it was... More

Small friendly restaurant on Cordova Street off the main road through Gastown. There are daily lunch specials, but we ordered Flautas - a sort of fried potato roll with refired beans, sour cream and feta - and Mezcalita salad, which was a mixed salad including caramelised pecans. I added Chipotle prawns which were delicious with it, and a glass of... More

Quick service, friendly staff and nice food at a good price. We were staying a few blocks away and had had a busy day out and about, we had been past this restaurant on our walks so thought we would give it a go. When we arrived it was fairly quiet but filled up as we ate. The menu has... More

I have been here 3 times since moving to Gastown. The food has always been better than expected. It is always busy but never had to wait for a seat. Service was great. I have never been a fan of guacamole but I sure like their recipe. Have recommended to anyone who is looking for something new. Will definitely return.

Staying in Gastown

Neighborhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
