Small place with big flavour

We happened upon Six Acres as we were walking around Gas Town in the evening. We were all extremely impressed with the beer selection and every food item we ordered was awesome. It's a cozy little pub but it didn't feel crammed. Highly recommend the cheese fritters! Reasonably priced food and... read more

We discovered 6 acres as it was recommended in a website as one of the best places to have good beer in Vancouver. The place is small yet very cozy. The beer selection is very very nice, specially if you consider the bottles menu. We didn't try much of the food but shared some mussels that were outstanding. It's definitively... More

Quaint space for a drink or two along with a simple bar food meal. Not ideal for families better suited for adults only!

A wonderful, lively gastropub with a great selection of craft beers (both local and other areas) and a menu designed for small plates but also larger dinner options. The wait staff was helpful and happy, always a good sign. Our group of 4 had a shared cheese plate and a shared sausage plate, both were great. For mains we had... More

I sadly didn't have any food here, but the beer selection was great! Local beers with a good variety of styles, and great wait staff too.

This place was has a great patio to sit on. We enjoyed the veggie sliders. The prices were reasonable. We walked here from our hotel near the city center. The only complaint I have was that the one of the waiters, not ours but another, one seem to be scolding a couple who complained about waiting for their menus. I... More

Spending a couple of days in Vancouver we were touring the city and stopped in the Six Acres for lunch. There are many little restaurants on the street and you really need to look where one end and the other start as we thought we were being seated where they served bbq. When we told the server she said their... More

Having spent time on picking some where to eat we were disappointed in choosing this place. Server was pleasant enough until we had an issue. We waited ages on one of our main meals and when it arrived the chicken was not cooked properly, it was raw in the middle!!! We were offered a replacement which we accepted. We waited... More

Went with a friend for catching up on things - was a nice relaxing atmosphere and very cool and chill staff. Candles are lit up for lunch which felt fancy, and the beer and food was good! Recommend if you are walking around Gastown and need energy!

I have visited Six Acres a number of times and every time I have had a great experience. The food is consistently delicious and they have a great selection of beers. Plus it's the only place to sample Nelson the Seagull baguette!

Staying in Gastown

Neighborhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
