Ate here twice and had fabulous meals on both occasions. Jolly is a local 'hero' and the restaurant has a strong local following.
This food was excellent, I went with two friends from Goa, India and they said it was better than being at home. Jolly is really a wonderful host, and the service is excellent. We went there twice in a row and six times over two months. A very memorable experience and definitely somewhere I would recommend going to with a... More
This small room on West 4th Street near MacDonald is a nice surprise. I have a passion for naan, and their naan bread is one of the best I've ever tasted, and it is included with many of the entrees. Their butter chicken is a great bargain.-- $9.99 on most days of the week. The service is very good. The... More
I've eaten here twice after being talked into trying it following a disappointing first visit by friends who rave about it, but i'm still not convinced. I found the curries to be bland and watery, with lots of salt added in an attempt to add flavour. Saying that I find most Indian restaurants in Vancouver rather poor quality.
What else is there to do on a rainy Vancouver night, but go for some comfort food. Had the Paneer Pakora to start, followed by the Malabari Chicken and a vegetarian dish (name escapes me). Meals came with the best naan I have ever had, some basmati rice and a small salad. Service was friendly and prompt, food was beyond... More
This little gem for East Indian culinary adventure is located in the heart of Kitsilano, Vancouver along on W 4th Ave and near MacDonald. Their Thali (both vegetarian or meat) plates including appy, entree, drink and dessert is a fabulous bargain, but so are most of the menu items like Malabari chicken, Bihari Lamb Kabob, etc.
we would frequent this hide-away bistro on the west side from time to time, yesterday was one of those times. On special was the butter chicken (one of my favorite dishes) for the amazing price of only $10. When our dinner arrive my significant other noticed a piece of long curly hair in the butter chicken which was promptly replaced.... More

The buffet is quite good for the price has 2 varieties of chicken,a mutton curry, 2-3 veg dishes , rice, roti , couple of salads . To add to the above list they have gulab... More
As a born and raised Brit I know my curry. After all, it’s our national dish. Before moving to Vancouver, I heard there was a large East Indian population and was looking forward to trying some of their North American takes on traditional Indian cuisine. After months of living in this beautiful city and five curry houses later, I had... More
The last time I dined here was about 2 year ago and was dissapointed at that time - hoping that the food had improved. The atmosphere and service was very pleasant. We both ordered the vegetarian thali, a request was made to substitute one of the dishes and this was done, without a problem. The portion size was great -... More
