Fantastic food, affordable price

Went to Gastown with my friend, and spotted this nice and simple place. We didn't expect much, but we ordered eggplant on pasta and my oh my - AMAZING! Finished the meal with a cheese cake, perfectly made, I will definitely be back.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. I liked the cool vibe, the jazz music, & the simple décor. But, the service was barely average & the food was very disappointing. I ordered the strip loin steak sandwich with wild mushroom sauce, avocado, & bocconcini . What I got was a gray slab of tough meat, a gluey sauce, 3... More

Good portions, very fresh and tasty home cooked Italian style. Had the 3 types of ravioli dish with wild mushroom sauce and Italian sausage with penne dish. Lovely slice of fresh crispy/soft bread for dipping. It was a late lunch so we didn't have room to eat dinner.

Atmosphere says a lot about a place, brick walls, wood floors and tables, friendly, warm service, all packaged up with small prices and big taste allows me to whole-heartedly say try this at least once and see if you agree. A pitcher of green iced tea (you pick the flavor of tea) for $5.00. A large Greek salad for $7.75... More

I've been to brioche several times now and the consistently warm and inviting staff are the main reason I'm writing this review. Aside from the excellent service, the menu at brioche is well priced and fairly extensive. Everything I've tried has been very tasty! They have fantastic pastries and sweets which are made fresh and easily enjoyed in their quaint... More

Went for lunch at 11:30. Small cafe was half full and filled shortly after with a line up. Some were take out. Extensive menu, daily specials, good pricing. Had the veggie panini with bocancini cheese and the asparagus soup with a caesar salad. Panini was good size. Only complaint was the the crusty bread is a bit hard on the... More

We come here for breakfast or lunch on our twice-yearly trips to Vancouver & it's always a treat. Not fancy, but good food & cheerful service. Today we shared the 3-eggs bene chef special with spinach & a bottle of lovely Prosecco--excellent!

Visited a couple of days ago with my friends for a late lunch and I was fairly surprised! What a great spot! I especially loved the ambiance of the the place, small and cozy, very european and unlike classic 'cold' canadian restaurants. The food was excellent! I shared a salmon pasta and a blt caesar salad with a friend and... More

We ate breakfast here on a Sunday morning. It was a bit pricey (more than $10 just for food). However, if I reframe the situation and call it Sunday brunch instead of Sunday breakfast, then it was a good deal. I had a dish with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, and it was tasty. It came with a fruit salad... More

This joint is jumpin! One of my favorite lunch spots, great selection of freshly made foods. The wild mushroom gnocchi and the lamb shank are my favorite. The soups are also a good option. Hint the outside tables are great on a sunny day but wine is only served inside.
