Delightful little place.

We found this place quite incidentally, when we parked just up the street. We decided just to go in and check it out, and we were so glad we did. We ordered potato soup, a chorizo panini, and a Salted Carmel Tart. All were very delicious. We liked them so much that after doing a bit of exploring... read more

This is a great place for a casual business meeting. There is an overflow area that seats about 12 people that can be reserved for meetings. Food here is made from scratch and to order. I usually go with an omelette or something similar. Owner is a very obliging fellow who makes you feel right at home....a bit like the... More

We went her on a food tour but had to come back the next day to try some of their desserts! The salted caramel tart was delicious!

This place is very quaint and the food/coffee was great! We liked the laid back vibe of this place and we were have happy it wasn't jam packed. We both got a standard breakfast; the bacon was to die for (maple flavored) and the accompanying fruit was a great variety from huge blackberries to dragon fruit to grapes. It was... More

Went here for breakfast and ordered a 4 meat quiche at servers recommendation to go. I got to my work and opened the package up and saw lasagna. Surely they couldent have mistaken quiche for lasagna??? As it turns out they did not. It was a thick piece of quiche looking like lasagna and then further made it more confusing... More

On the prowl for dessert, we found the perfect cup of coffee and a wonderful pear cake/pie in this quirky-yet-professional eatery. Had dinner there the next night. Very good -- and the price was right!

Very good sandwich on baguette. Should have told us about the garlic in the mix, a surprise. Ok for us, but others may not agree. Service was good. Will go again.

Staying in Gastown

Neighborhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
