COSY NOOK

My wife and I enjoy the Caio Bella at least once every time we visit Vancouver. The setting is fairly small but has a warm atmosphere. The staff are excellent, friendly and welcoming. The food, whether for lunch or dinner, has never disappointed. There is a small bar as well as the tables. In the... read more

We were here for their Dineout 2016 and came out utterly disappointed. The menu looks really good and might be worth the $40 per person but in reality it is not. For starters the prawn salad comes with big prawns but tasted frozen. The mango avocado salsa is just chunks of avocado and mango in thousand island dressing. Yes, one... More

Dine Out Vancouver 2016 : We all wanted an Italian restaurant, we booked Ciao Bella. It is a cozy, but not intimate restaurant…( i.e. lights are a little too bright if you are looking for a romantic dinner for two). The piano bar is a nice touch, and the washrooms were clean. The mirrors on the end wall give the... More

This restaurant is obviously a favourite of locals. The young man at the table just asked for his "usual". My husband and I decided to eat here because of the sandwich board advertised 1/2 pasta. A wise decision on our part. Our dinner was delicious. We will eat here again!

After a very big nye my friends and I were after a good feed. The place delivered. I had the gluten free pasta. It was perfectly cooked also very fresh. The sauce was amazing. We all left very satisfied. The portion size was generous without being excessive. While it was not a cheap meal it was definitely worth paying for.

My spouse and my kid went there yesterday Dec 18, 2015 for dinner. After coming back home two hours later, they BOTH got sick: stomach hurts, body aches, vomiting, diarrhea, fever. They are still in bed today (Dec 19, 2015 afternoon). Stop vomiting but other symptoms remain. Still sick. Terrible experience.

Imagine an Italian restaurant with a piano players set amongst the full compliment of 16 tables. People talking, eating GREAT food in lovely large servings (I especially like the linguine vongole!), enjoying some wine. One or two folks get up to dance to the piano players rendition of some song they like. Warm, efficient service. This little spot at the... More

Made a reservation on Open Table for a Saturday night dinner for 5. This small intimate restaurant seems to be a place for local Westend residents. There was live piano music and lost of Holiday decorations. Our server was helpful and efficient and there was great teamwork in the service. There was a three course dinner service that was great... Went to Ciao Bella for lunch. Don't be mislead by there online prices...all pasta is half price during lunch hours. I had the gnocchi Gorgonzola...it was to die for! Great prices, amazing food.

Assuming you have found your soulmate or are in the process of searching, gaze into her eyes over a wonderfully romantic dinner with good wine and soft piano music playing in the background at Ciao Bella. Life does not get any better than this.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
