This is a cool place to go with friends, and order some really interesting rolls. Recommends: The Berkeley Green Eggs & Ham This place was really busy & quite loud for dinner

I stopped by The Eatery on a long walk home and wandered in to ask if they do take out. I was welcomed in, even though they weren't officially open for another 10 minutes, given a menu and a glass of water, and invited to sit down while I decided what I wanted. I ordered Goma Ae, udon soup with... More

Went to The Eatery on Canada Day at 3pm. Super hungry! Food was awesome! Got the love boat and san francisco rolls. Food was delicious, loved how they served their sashimi. Decor is definitely meant for evenings with all the blinky lights. Definitely needs more washrooms - go before you enter the restaurant. Wish they had pictures on their menu.... More

Sushi is always fresh, creative and most importantly delicious. This has become our favorite restaurant in Kits and can never get enough. Given the menu is huge, we are usually just happy to order off the specials menu. Restaurant is laid back atmosphere and service is generally very good!

Chiller place to eat creative sushi. Chefs are Asian, servers are all Caucasian, zero lighting but a candle at each table and servers are nice, though slow with the bill. They're quick to serve water and they don't rush you, and the sushi is good. Flavorful and I liked the ambiance, it's nice for couples, because it's so dark and... More

I called previously and asked if I could make a reservation for three, for about an hour later. She was a total bimbo on the phone, however. So we got there, and this girl came up to me, I wasn't sure if she worked there or if she was just some random scuzzy girl off the street who decided to... More

Loved the selection of vegetarian options and ambiance. Not very kid friendly but not many places are that have good sushi. The sake was average though as it appeared to not have been heated up as much as it should. The jalapeno popper roll was awesome and i would come back just for that.

I went here with a group of friends, and it was nice just to look around but being someone who doesn't eat sushi I was limited as to what I could order (which I didn't mind). The place was incredibly dark, and the "glow in the dark" menus didn't really glow, so most of us were on our phones reading... More

The first time I went to the eatery with a group of friends I felt slightly overwhelmed with the funky decor - however the reputation of excellent sushi drew me back for my boyfriend's birthday and we decided to experiment. Get a bunch of smaller appetizer's along with sushi and share - experience as much as possible! The tempura prawns... More

Every time we go here we love the food. It is always noisy, the music is too loud and we have to yell to carry on conversation. We go back because our grown children love it anyway.
