Great atmosphere, inexpensive and very tasty vegetarian food

We stopped in for lunch at this restaurant after a recommendation from a friend who lives in the area. My friend described this place as a bit "alternative" but the patrons were a solid mix of all ages and walks of life, not really "alternative" from what i could gauge. The place was extremely busy... read more

To be honest, i used to love going to the Naam but stopped going over a year ago due to countless bad experiences. So, as you can imagine when friends suggested we try it out for breakfast, i was hesitant. To my surprise, the service was efficient, friendly & knowledgible. The food came out quick, portion size was more than... More

Delicious! I've lived so close to the Naam, I am not sure how I haven't been a regular here until recently! Pretty laid back atmosphere, the service isn't speedy but it works for them. The food is delicious, flavorful and very fresh and the price is right. The staff are so nice - a friend of mine came in a... More

Every time I'm in Vancouver I always go to the Naam. The food is soooo delicious! It's a casual atmosphere, laid back service and be prepared to wait in line for a table, sometimes out the door and down the street!! But it will be well worth the wait!! My fav is the Naam Dragon Bowl. Oh and the Tea... More

We have been eating at the Naam for over 20 years both as residents and now as visitors. While much of the charm and character of the Kitsilano neighbourhood has been destroyed by bland over-development and chi chi shops that few can afford, the Naam is THE original. On our recent visit, we had the Veggie dog wrapped in a... More

Dear Arcosdad, Thanks for taking the time to share your recent experience at our restaurant. It is always lovely to hear feedback from our customers- especially when they have been coming to the restaurant for over 20 years! As you have found out, the tofu dog and dragon bowls are some of the most popular items on the menu for... More

For food quality and price, the Naam Restaurant in Vancouver is easily the best restaurant in Kitsilano. On a recent visit, we had a perfectly spiced borscht soup and grilled veggie enchiladas. The cooks know what they're doing. The decor is simple, wooden chairs and tables. Nothing fancy. But this restaurant has been going strong since it opened in 1968... More

Dear Daniel K., Thank you so much for your positive review of our restaurant, especially for your declaration that we are "the best restaurant in Kitsilano". One of the main reasons we have been open for so long is our loyal customers; you all keep us "going strong". I also passed on your compliments to our Cooks, who asked me... More

Have always wanted to try The Naam and finally go the chance this past week-end, arrived at 12:15 and were informed the breakfast menu is in force until 13:00 hours. Having had enough of eggs, we decided to wait and put our order in at 12:50 hours, our meals arrived at 13:30. It was not super busy, I.e. no line... More

Dear Judi K., I'm so glad that you decided to visit us a few weekends ago and stayed for lunch- I too can understand not wanting to have two breakfasts in one day. Yes, we do serve brunch foods only until 1pm on weekends and holidays and after that point servers begin taking lunch orders. Since we have such a... More

I'm a meat eater and I went here for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. Food was reasonably priced for what you got and unless you come absolutely starving, you will be leaving with leftovers! Get there early, or you'll be waiting in line for a while. Definitely will be going back for multiple visits!

It is the more tasty veggie restaurant I have ever been to. Just the fact to see the food activates your senses. My partner wanted to eat there once and again because we were staying at Kitsilano with friends during this visit to Vancouver, very near to the restaurant. It was a perfect place for breakfast, lunch and also dinner,... More
