I wanted to visit Vancouver's Punjab market neighborhood - but as soon as I got off the bus - a thunderstorm started. Across the street was All India Sweets, so I decided to buy a few sweets and return to my hotel. The selection of sweets is huge! Long tables with trays of sweets made in the restaurant. Some were... I haven't tried the buffet here- however I love this place purely for their samosas and paneer pakoras which you can take to go. Definitely the best samosas i've tried- and only 75 cents each!

Went to All India Sweets & Restaurant for Lunch a couple days back. The food looks great from a distance and piping hot. There are at least 5 vegetables (pakoda kadi, chole, allo gobi, rajma and daal makhani), naan, vege biryani, 3 desserts (gulab jamun, jalebi and kheer) and salad stuff. Out of the vegetables, the pakoda kadi and rajma... More

A friend and I visited All India Sweets & Restaurant in May 2014. I really wanted to like this place. We arrived around 7pm and were seated immediately. They offered the buffet but I prefer to order exactly what I want from the menu. We ordered three vegetarian dishes (aloo ghobi, chana masala and mutter paneer), one rice and one... More

Worst Indian buffet food I ever had!! All the veggies were stale. The rice which they called 'veg biryani' was just rice with turmeric and frozen vegs thrown in. There was no sign of garam masala which is what biryani is made with! the malai kofta was as hard as a rock and looked like it was made and frozen... More

We were looking for lunch among the cluster of Indian oriented establishments. We were told this restaurant was excellent. When we saw that the lunch buffet was vegetarian, I was at first reluctant to go with the buffet. Pleasantly surprising was the variety and tastiness of the buffet dishes. I loved it (this from a confirmed carnivore). I went back... More

Save your money, and don't bother going to this place. The food tasted like it was made with rotten meat and vegetables - do you need any more justification to go there?

This was the very first time that I'd ever had Indian food at a restaurant (I usually make all my own curries), so keep in mind that I might be a bit swayed in this review given that I've got nothing commercial to compare this experience to. Service was very good, but it wasn't very busy when we were there.... More

Naan was pretty good. Other food was below average and service was absolutely horrible. No one came to collect plates. One of the servers dropped a bowl of food on floor and just left it instead of coming to clean it up. One positive is that it is all vegetarian. Alot of gravy/sauce, not alot of content. Will not return.

This is one of Vancouver's original Indian restaurants, amongst the vibrant sari stores. It had down years when it changed ownership but has come back again. The cases of sweets for purchase welcome you on arrival and are colorful and vibrant in their own right. The restaurant offers a buffet, which I've never had because I have favourites on the... More
