I've walked by this restaurant a few times, and finally decided to give it a try - what a wonderful place! I was surprised when I walked in as it is bigger than it looks, and was extremely happy to see they are very gluten-free friendly. The waiter was helpful, funny and helped make our dining experience wonderful. Oh, and the... More

After not having visited Adesso for a couple of years we returned to find everything as we had left it: nice décor, good service and wonderful food. The appetizers (Frito misto, pizza and salami {charcuterie} were excellent with the Frito misto topping everyone's list. The pasta dishes were piping hot and delicious and if there was a downside to the... More

Adesso is a wonderful neighbourhood restaurant very near Stanley Park and English bay. The food (Northern Italian) is very good, the serving staff are knowledgeable and welcoming, and the setting is wonderful. In the summer months their unique outdoor patio is one of the city's best. Very good restaurant, looks like a private house inside, heritage building etc... food is really good and tastes like Italian food for real... not American-Italian, which is a great asset for me...

We visited this quaint Italian restaurant Adesso Bistro on two occasions when on holiday in September in Vancouver. On both occasions we found the experience an absolute pleasure, the restaurant, run by a family, had a really friendly atmosphere. We had various dishes from the menu and each one was a delight. We would highly recommend a visit and believe... More

Fantastically authentic Italian Bistro. From the Italian owner greeting you at the door, offering to take your coat, to the cosy feel and delicious food. Service is relaxed and very friendly with insane knowledge of all their products and ingredients. Go once and you will soon become one of the dozens of regulars this restaurant continues to acquire!

We have been here 4+ years and Adesso Bistro continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in the West End. Fortunately for us, it is a 2 block stroll to some of the best Central Italian food on the planet. We love the atmosphere, the staff and the food. Nothing is more pleasant than a glass of Prosecco at... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
