Description: Adesso, in Italian means now, now as in modern, now as in today, now as in current. Our menu and our daily specials reflect today's trend towards healthy, local and seasonal organic foods. At Adesso Bistro we take a modern approach to the traditional cuisine of Italy's Ligurian region, a refreshing return to food made with love, tradition and soul. Our goal is to create an experience for our guests that will capture the essence of Adesso's unique regional cuisine. Our menu features such items as pizza Tartufo (black truffle fonduta, new potatoes, onions and house-made unsmoked bacon)and enticing entrees including braised Lamb Shanks served with artichokes and white beans, roasted Sablefish marinated in marsala, and Cornish Hen with chestnuts and black truffles. Pasta, from Tagliatelle to Pansotti, is complemented with a variety of tasty accompaniments, from Berkshire pork to wild mushrooms, fresh seafood to sage butter.

With there being so many dining choices in Vancouver, I would not recommend this restaurant. We used a Groupon to try out this restaurant. Big mistake. Using a groupon puts you in the "Your not worth my time category" at this restaurant. The food was okay. The only food highlight was the pizza. The service was below standard. We had... More

A delightful restaurant in a quiet area near to Stanley Park. Having dined at a wide range of Vancouver's eateries during my stay in May 2012 this was the highlight. Fine food and attentive service made for a relaxing last evening before the trip home. Fully recommend.

Always a great meal at this gem. Great romantic place but also with a vibrant patio when the weather permits. Wonderful Italian cuisine and never a disappointment.

My husband's barber told him about this place. The food is excellent, even though the restaurant is a bit hard to find. It is worth finding. They have a great BC Wine list too.

I come to Vancouver from time to timehere now) and no stop to the Emerald city is complete without a trip to Adesso. I had their 3 course for $32 special. It was great tasting menu. The bocincinni Pizzette was fantastic and the second course of tuna was pure heaven. The ambiance on the patio was picture perfect and my lemon cake... More

My business associates and I stayed at the Bayshore Hotel, while attending a conference. We were all looking forward to dinner, so asked where we might find a great Italian restaurant nearby. Adesso was the answer. Upon arriving at Adesso we were greeted by the Owners and were asked if we would like to dine on the patio. We were seated... More

Adesso Bistro is the perfect place to meet good friends for a relaxing night out. Located unpretentiously on a quiet residential street, it offers relaxed charm and courteous service. The menu invites dialogue and is definitely not standard fare. Begin with a cocktail and let the server guide your dinner selection. Only one complaint .... limited vegetarian options.

This was our first time at this restaurant and we were very impressed. The four of us really enjoyed our meals. The beet salad was very good and the crispy seafood appetizer was a real hit! This was a kalamari type dish that consisted of several types of lightly breaded seafood fried to perfection. The sablefish on a bed of... More

Dined at Adesso with my wife using the Travelzoo promotion. Nice little area tucked in the middle of a residential neighbourhood. Parking is adequate as there are 2 hour free street parking nearby. The waitress was extremely friendly and courteous. The food itself was tasty and the ingredients are fresh, but here are some observations we made: - Portions are... More

In response to the items you mentioned, the ravioli was a mid course portion as stated on the menu, normal main course portion is 6 pieces We serve a full 6 ounce glass of wine - some people ask to split glasses of wine when they are tasting wines with each course they order. It is true that sablefish is... More

Adesso is in a primarily residential block of the Wst End - it isn't a very prepossessing room, rather dark and narrow. However the welcoming staff make up for this. The menu is based on north Italian cooking and is full of flavour and some interesting touches the Barbabietola (beet salad) was a particularly interesting appetiser. I particularly enjoyed the...
