We arrived for our second visit last week. Our host looked at us with a weird glance. we didn't take it personal: he did it with all comers. We had risotto and arctic char, preceded by chickpea bread that cost $10. Not bad but its food cost is probably $1.50. The char was overcooked and the watery (not creamy) risotto... More

Based on the outstanding reviews and my love for everything Italian, I made reservations here on the short. The owners Luciano & his wife went out of their way to accommodate me & my party. We arrived a bit early and were pleasantly welcomed in to enjoy a drink, whereby not only do we enjoy a drink, but also idle... More

Chose this restaurant based on the Tripadvisor reviews. Thank you reviewers, it was a wonderful experience. The service was very friendly and very italian, the food superb. The funghi pizza is a must, great as an appetizer for two with left overs for later. The location is very charming in a quiet area in downtown Vancouver close to Stanley Park. We... More

I love the atmosphere in this restaurant on Haro St. In the West End of Vancouver. Quiet, serene, good drinks and a wonderful seafood pasta. Reservations, patio dining in good weather, an attentive staff, and excellent food and drink.... who could want more.

Chose this restaurant thanks to its Tripadvisor reviews. What a delightful patio in the middle of a residential neighborhood! Servers were fabulous with a lot of character. Enjoyed the squid ink pasta, lovely wine list, and really wish there had been room for dessert. Will definitely return when in Vancouver again.

This is a very lovely Italian bistro with a great private treed patio in Vancouver's West End. The menu is extensive and the prices are reasonable. We had the gnocchi, swordfish, pasta with fruit ti de mare and pizza al fungi -- all excellent. The staff and service is intimate and fun. An original!

I could not fault the mussels cooked specially for me without onions and the smoked chicken breast was good. The service was fast and helpful. But the ambience is what just took the edge off the experience. The room is a long rectangle except for a nook at one end. It is dark, and black furniture and dull cream walls... More

We were a party of 8 -- all cyclists looking quality food in advance of the Gran Fondo to Whistler the next morning. They welcomed the table with an assortment of appetizers on the house -- which were tasty a nd good start. Folks had the halibut, or pasta or pizza -- all of which was really tasty and appropriate... Tucked away in the quiet streets behind denman this is well worth a visit. Authentic italian food with a few surprises like the chick pea 'bread' (more like a polenta) and the basil sorbet. Braised beef was melt in the mouth stuff. Highly recommended.

We had a fabulous meal on the patio of this amazing bistro. The atmosphere was delightful, the waiter was very knowledgeable, the menu selections varied and the wine list commendable. We had looked forward to eating here for a long time but waited to share the experience with good friends. No one was disappointed.
