Trendy Gastown restaurant

Good seafood, great location, however quite noisy. Slow service but possibly due to crowds. Had to ask for drink refills more than once.

We had friends visiting from Italy and took them here to not only view the Steam Clock, but for supper as well. We ate outdoors. Our friends loved it. From where we were seated, they could still view the inner harbour. I had a veal scallopini. Though the portion wasn't large, it was adequate. Homemade bread and whipped butter were... More

Summer in Vancouver and outside patio seating made for a magical combination of food and atmosphere! Great service and great food. We had both of the specials and they were phenomenal! Great job!

We were looking for a "tablecloth" restaurant in the Gastown district, and we found the perfect one. It was 7:00 p.m. on a Friday evening and it was busy. The manager told us that he had a table that was finishing up and we could wait in the upstairs lounge, which was just a couple of couches. After a few... More

From the first time I visited this place, I knew it was a Gem. Being from New Orleans, LA, food and people are the staples of a good experience...Well, every time I visit the beautiful city of Vancouver, B.C, I make it a point to dine here for precisely that. With each visit, I bring a different friend and each... More

The set-up of the restaurant is really nice. It's decorated very neatly. Though the music was a little bit too loud. To start, we took a brushetta plate and a meat-and-cheese plate to share. That was really good. But all of that isn't such big of a deal when your main dish isn't that good. Our pasta-plates didn't have a... More

We went to meet friends whilst on holiday in Vancouver and as we were a group of five, had booked ahead which was wise because it was very busy. The service was very good - friendly, chatty, efficient - and the restaurant is literally opposite the Gas Town clock so amazing situation particularly for lunch sitting outside. But I have... More

Went to Water St. Cafe next to steamclock with my family. A rather small restaurant but nice. My two teenage sons just wanted spaghetti bolognese, which was far to much pepper in. We had todays specialty, grilled tuna, tasty and delicious. The waiter was very competent !

We enjoyed a patio table here on a hot summer night in July. The location is sweet, right across the road from the iconic steam clock in Gastown. It's entertaining to watch the tourists congregate before the clock toots the hour and is a great spot for people watching generally. The food was lovely and I appreciated being able to... More

We nearly passed over this restaurant because of the two most recent reviews. That would have been a mistake. We had a wait of 15 mins for a table, during which we were attentively looked after, with humour and courtesy by the manager. Our waiting staff could not have been more helpful. Good recommendations for food and wine, delivered with... More
