From the outside this place didn't look that good. They have a good range of cakes. Portions are very generous. The coffee good. Service a little slow. I would recommend this place

We had just finished dinner at Dinesty and chose to have our dessert around the corner at True Confections. We had not been there before, but were advised that this was the place to have dessert and that advice proved correct. The evening was perfect for outside seating. Our server was friendly and helpful. My wife had a chocolate raspberry... More

So many home baked cakes and pastries to choose from. This is one place you must make time for when you visit Vancouver. We went once on an afternoon and then once on an evening after our meal as the sweets here are so much better!!!

My husband and I were looking for a sweet something after dinner and had no idea how perfect a True Confections would be. Our waitress was lovely. The atmosphere was ambient, sophisticated, and the desserts were worth every penny. We don't often eat dessert, so when we do, we like it to be special. You will not be disappointed! We... More

Desserts look delicious at this dessert restaurant on Denman St in Vancouver's West End neighborhood. Taste didn't quite measure up. Teas & coffees on the menu. Friendly waiter & good service, though.

Great peanut butter chocolate cheese cake and cappuccinos. Stays open late, so perfect to stop at after dinner. Worth the visit! Wish I could go every weekend!

I live a block away and hadn't been in for a very long time. Now I remember why. The most decadent 'looking' cakes to be sure, but the most ordinary to taste. Prices have risen steeply and portions down by 2/3. To taste, one can go over and get Safeway's cheapest cake and do better. Gritty sugary icing, ordinary dry... More

We stopped in to give this place a try after seeing the variety of cheesecake and other desserts posted outside. My mocha was delivered overflowing on multiple sides...no big deal, but at least come back with an extra napkin or something. The server also slurped mocha onto my wife's glass of water which she noticed and did not leave, but... More

With temperatures below freezing under sunny skies we walked the Seawall. We earned a treat and we searched the area for French pastry and coffee. We must have looked lost because a local stopped us and asked what we were looking for. When we told her a bakery her eyes lit up and she directed us to "True Confections". She... More

While there are lots of desserts to choose from, I don't think I'll be back. I've been twice and a little disappointed both times. The cake is good, but not great. The service is terribly slow-it took almost 15 minutes to hand us 2 slices of (pre-sliced) cake and some water while the restaurant was only half full. I love... More
