Extraordinarily fresh seafood and delicate mix of flavors. Presentation included serving albacore tuna on a carved block of ice. The tuna when placed in the mouth dissolved with light pressure from your tongue. Exceptional.

I went to lots Japanese restaurants in Vancouver, but this is the best one yet. We originally going to Kishimoto, however they close on Monday so we come here as our alternative choice. The food is very expensive compare to other Japanese restaurant. Their sushi rolls are fantastic, we ordered the Great Canadian Roll and Tojo's Roll. I have to... More

My client brought me to Tojo's for dinner. I was never a big Sushi fan, until that night. I had the pleasure of sitting at the Sushi bar seating opposite Tojo himself. He asked me if I liked fish, and I told him I prefer my fish cooked. He looked at me (a hard look) and asked me if I... More

I loved this restaurant for its food quality. The sushi was extremely fresh and prepared very well. Based on recommendations we chose the sushi bar. It was delicious but priced at $200 per person with tip I found outrageous. I thought the sushi table was $90 to $150 per person no it seems to be $150 per person no matter... More

We saw this restaurant featured on Travel Channel and knew we had to check it out! A lot of the other reviews say it's over-priced for the food but we felt we got everything we paid for and more! We had a seared tuna appetizer that was a special for the day and it literally MELTED in your mouth! Then... More

My wife and I visited Tojo's while on a holiday in Vancouver. As a foodie and avid sushi eater, there was no doubt I would visit the man who invented the iconic California Roll! We opted for the omakase dinner which couldn't have been any better of a choice. We ordered the house sake served cold. It was beautiful on... More

Ever since our good friend and "nephew" learned that we loved sushi, he's been talking about dragging us to Tojo's. Tonight he did and, I've got to say, it's spectacular. We sat at the sushi bar in this posh urban restaurant (with an unimposing front and a lovely interior) and had our dinner prepared as by the master whose name... More

My wife and I went to Tojo's during our first trip to Vancouver. We don't consider ourselves sushi snobs, but I've spent a few years living in Japan and we both lived in Tokyo for a year, so we know our stuff. The quality at Tojo's was good but the prices were completely outrageous for what you get. We did... More

My husband and I usually try to visit Tojo\s at least once a year. My husbands preference is to sit at the Sushi Bar. However, on this past occasion I was able to convince him to sit at a table. I will go with my husbands preference next time. It is an experience to enjoy. The food is exquisite with... More

Many controversy about Tojo's over years. I agree compared with vast variety of Japanese restaurant, Tojo's not value on the dollar type. Of course food is always fresh here and it is top notch restaurant, It is overpriced for what it offers as most of expensive restaurant. However it is kinda experience I believe you should try especially omakase. I... More
