Impeccable presentation, Goof Service

We had dinner for four at Tojo's, with two of our party ordering the 6 course set menu (omakase), one for 5 course set menu, and one for two rolls. The 5 and 6 course menus differ in addition of tempura course, addition of octopus to sashimi dish of smoked salmon, different cooked fish courses... read more

Always great food. We had the tasting menu. Quite a few courses. Very nice as always. We had our server do a sake pairing. We made a reso, not sure we needed one as we went at 5:30.

From the moment you enter the doors of Tojo's, you will feel warm and welcome and enjoy the beauty of one of the finest Japanese experiences you can imagine. The pride of presentation and the melt in your mouth creations that the chefs prepare are the Best of the Best! Enjoy ~

Of all the restaurants in my journeys, outside of Gordon Ramsey at Claridges (which is no longer Gordon Ramsey at Claridges), there has never been a more hyped restaurant than Tojo’s. They obviously wallow in the accolades—you can barely see through the glass door with all the stickers on it from various review sites like Zagat, Trip Advisor, or Yelp.... More

I was initially disappointed on arrival as the atmosphere was very quiet to start with and informal, everyone was in jeans and shorts, not what I was expecting. However my disappointment soon disappeared with the arrival of the food which was exceptional. We chose the set menu, but chose one 5 course and one 6 course to get a good... More

Its a very nice restaurant and definitely has some great fish. Had toro, hamachi, anago, octopus and more including abalone that was really well cut. The cooked portion of the omakace was also very good. Good Sake list. Really like it, just make sure you are prepared for size of bill especially omakace. For 2 people without sake it was... More

Went to Tojo because we wanted to experience the authentic master of sushi in Vancouver. I really wanted to be blown away but unfortunately it was a bit average.

Food was good. Service was good. Worth the money? nope. Many places in Vancouver will serve the same for a reasonable price.

Tonight, we returned to Tojo's Sushi for the first time in seven years, since we haven't been in B.C. in that time. I'm delighted to say that it still delivers the best. Tojo-San is so respected that he gets only the best fish from the market, and he has trained his assistants so well that the team gives you a... More

Heard so much about Tojo and finally get a chance to enjoy a nice dinner at the restaraunt, service, presentation was excellent although it was on a pricier side. As you could see from the intro on the menu about Tojo Sen, Tojo Sen was at the sushi bar when we visit that evening. I would definitely go back when... More
