We have heard and read great things about Tojo's so we made a booking way in advance of our trip in Vancouver. We ordered the 5-course / 8-course omakase and the bill came to around $240. There were plenty of food but they were nothing spectacular. The sushi plate towards the end was not fresh. Coming from Asia where plenty... More

The most exquisite sushi experience I can imagine. If only it was free! Check out their great sake selection too. Want to impress a date? Take them here!

Tojo's is a reminder of what real Japanese food should be - a delicate balance of flavors and textures complimenting one another. Japanese food in Vancouver has been so commercialized to the point where every other place slaps some fish on top of rice and calls it sushi. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a fan of your usual Sushi... More

My wife and I have wanted to visit told Tojo's for a very long time. We had heard that it was amazing Japanese food, tremendous sushi and was worth every penny. That is not the case. We found the food to be average at best, nothing exceptional and the prices were absolutely ridiculous. I would avoid this place and will... More

My daughter and I left there still hungry after we upgraded to the more expensive omakase. The restaurant had nice ambience & the service was excellent. We sat at the counter as suggested by our travel guide, but was able to view the chef unwrapping premade sushi for the dinner rush. Kind of ruined the dining experience for us. Our... More

Do not hesitate for a second, have the Omakase and let Tojo decide what you eat. We LOVED the choices he made, excellent fish, delicate flavors and excellent service. Tojo himself gives the final touches to every dish and still agrees to take a picture with you at the end of the meal. Superb!

The food was not bad, we ate at the counter and the head chef prepared some of our dishes, good quality but slightly overpriced, the kind of place to visit once in a while to impress a guest

This was my third time at Tojo and it won't be my last. As always, Tojo demonstrated why his restaurant is still so popular after all these years. We saw other people ordering a la carte but, honestly, you will miss the best of Tojo's creativity if you don't go with the Omakase (chef's choice) menu. It's definitely not cheap... More
