Possibly the best greasy spoon in downtown

Great soft poached eggs, rosemary potato and turkey sausage. My first time although I have lived here for 20 years. In a spot midway to everything but really nowhere. However, well worth a detour.

We went for breakfast - lots of homeless types lying around and the area looks a little seedy and run down. When my wife saw the outside she wanted to go elsewhere. I had the Huevos Rancheros and my wife had the Farmers Breakfast. Both were great, service was excellent as well. My only gripe would be that there is... More

We decided to try this restaurant last Sunday. There was a lineup when we got there but it did not take long to be seated. This Restaurant is right out of the 50's. The food portions are large and tasty. The sour dough toast is amazing as is the bacon and the rosemary potatoes . It does take a while... More

Due to prior Tripadvisor reviews, I decided to eat dinner at Templeton, identified as the highest ranked restaurant near my hotel. After an easy 3 block walk, I found myself in a slightly sketchy neighborhood (next door is a sex shop), and the Templeton presents itself as very much a retro experience. When I walked in solo, all of the... More

My husband and I ate here twice on our recent overnight trip to Vancouver. The service was fantastic, the waitress was extremely personable and handled the entire place by herself. The first day we had lunch and the next day breakfast. It was all delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. We will definitely go back the next time we visit the... More

This is your classic hole-in-the-wall diner, complete with a Wurlitzer in the corner. We came here for breakfast because we wanted straightforward fare, no frou-frou breakfast. It was busy, but we were able to sit at the bar. We ordered the Trucker's Breakfast, which was perfect - three eggs, choice of meat, potatoes and toast. All were solid, great bacon.... More

Great breakfast with lots of veggie options. This is a time warp to the 50's with juke box and Wonder Woman comic strips Definitely worth a visit with a lot of Granville Street colour to add to the experience

The only thing bad about the Templeton is that they are located too far from home (a 3.5 hour train ride) to go there every weekend. The food was amazing and the service excellent. Go with the blueberry banana pancakes with the real maple syrup, turkey sausage, and preservative free bacon -- all are "can't miss" items. One last thing... More

My wife and I went here recently for breakfast. Looks like an old school style diner. Each table has a small juke box you can pay and play. When we went the place was pretty full and they only had one server. She did an amazing job multi tasking and making sure everyone was attended to in an expedient fashion.... More
