During a recent tour of Vancouver, we stopped in for lunch. We were impressed with the variety on the menu as well as reasonable prices in a very pricey area. Our lunches were very good - great flavors and portions. The service was friendly. The location worked well for us because it's really close to the Hop On Hop Off... More

The ambiance at this restaurant is worth five starts by itself: it aludes to the Gastown district (where it's located) architecture, and it's full of barrels, boxes and has a gorgeous old train cart in the middle! We got the famous spaghetti, with mizithra cheese, and it arrived fresh, warm and fast. The complimentary homemade butter (both garlic and plain)... More

We sat out on the patio in this fantastic little gas town restaurant. The service was top notch. The food was soooo good. The wait staff was more than happy to share the local legends of the area as well as their own personal experiences with the reported ghosts of Gas Town. The pricing at this restaurant is super affordable. Your... More

We were happy with the meal, it was nice, but when it came down to it, it's just pasta. Nothing really sets it apart from any other pasta place I've been to. Nothing really stood out except the decor in the place (which was really cool). Service was good as well. Like I said, good food but nothing extraordinary.

We loved the concept of this chain. The three courses for an excellent price. The bread is warm and perfect with the garlic butter. The chowder is worth the minimal extra charge and the main meals are generous and tasty. The ice cream included in the price is also good. The service was excellent. We also got to sit in... More

On May 14, 1971, I was passing through Vancouver, BC on a coast to coast road trip and stopped for dinner at the The Old Spaghetti Factory in Gas Town. Prices at the time listed spaghetti with meat sauce at $1.85. I kept the menu and after all these years, I returned it hoping to give it to the owner... More

After discovering OSF in Banff we just had to eat here. Location in Gastown was very walkable for us as our hotel was near Canada Place - just as well as we needed to walk off all those calories! Excellent value - sour dough loaf with 2 butters, main course, ice cream plus tea or coffee all for the price... More

I took my ten year old son to Vancouver in September and knew that this was one restuarant I wanted to take him. Siyuated in teh heart of Gastown my first experiance with OSF was just after it first opened back in the mid seventies at my friends party and I thought it was magical. Move on fifeteen years and... Great place with a honest prices. You can have a complete meal with roughly 20 CAD. The location is great, in the gastown, steam click and etc.
