Food was ok. Not going back.

The ambiance would be better without the waiter. I know the place prides itself on being alternative but I didn't want to hear our waiter saying F*** this, F*** that, F*** B**** loudly during breakfast, just so we could hear, and go, "WOW, what a cool place...". I get there is a certain vibe they... read more

I love this place for so many reasons, the first of which are the owners. The next reason is the food which is excellent diner fare always served quickly and with the smart wit and repartee of the owners. I have never laughed so much when eating at a restaurant. Keep up the good work !!

Our hotel suggested this place for breakfast and we were so glad they did. The service was great and the owners and staff were lots of fun. You better eat all of your breakfast or they will make you make a donation. Have returned every trip we make to Vancouver.

The place was packed when we came in, and we were shuffled to the back, almost felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff. Food took quite a while and when we did get it, it was so heavy and greasy- had a hard time choking it down. I ordered an omelette that had 1/2c of cream cheese and... More

We wanted to try this Vancouver institution and were prepared for the banter Patrick is a real talker-so be ready to have your ear talked off especially if there's nobody else in the place The food was OK but nothing special

I ordered the Brett Cullen eggs benedict and it was awesome. Good wholesome food. The waiter was hilarious. Need to read the cafe rules so you understand the style of the cafe. Highly recommend.

Have had breakfast here 3x with each trip to Vancouver in recent months. It is now becoming my regular breakfast spot....the food has been great....The banter from the owner, hilarious. Nothing is sacred....and be prepared for the regular F-bombs. And if you are prudish....dont bother going! BuT I love the Thelma item....a great eggs benny made with spinach, mushrooms and... More

Lively banter, outrageous conversations, and great experience. Portions large. But here's the problem- food standards. Overheard a conversation between who I assume was a manager and a cook, (open kitchen) the cook refused to cook something that had gone bad, the manager said it would be okay 'after' cooked. Ensued in an argument amd manager won. Employee left. I recommended... More

If you like banter with your breakfast - this is your place. And if you can bring guests there without telling them about the 'Rules' of eating there it will be even more fun. Yes, it is true their breakfast food is excellent (Give the egg benny "come-on-I-wanna-lay-ya a try. A Hawaiian take on the dish). The service is part... More

always a favorite when we come down. So close to our favorite places to see. Our sons didn't like being called princesses but that is the uniqueness of the place
