Great seafood

Had a fantastic dinner here. It was my first time trying mussels and these were great. I've tried them several other places since and these were the best. Service was good and accommodating. Price/value ratio is off. Typical seafood dishes. Nice wine selection. Great view of English Bay.

We were a group of 15 after a day of snowshoeing and didn't have a reservation. Luckily they were able to accommodate us! It is a nice restaurant and has a great selection of seafood dishes. The service was quick and very much appreciated given that we were a large and somewhat noisy group. (Thanks so much for the extra... More

I... i... dont know how anyone can justify the prices on the menu at the Boathouse. Sure seafood is more pricey than most foods but they have certainly taken advantage of the fact. Either they rip us off or their supplier is ripping them off it can only be one of those two. I had the Black Pepper scallops (they... More

If there's one place I love to go when in Vancouver it's here. Although everything I've had there is spectacular, I highly recommend the fish taco appetizer as it's so addictively scrumptious you'll be planning for the next opportunity to enjoy them. All of the main dishes are of excellent quality, presentation and flavor which goes well with the spot... More

Stopped in for light lunch. Excellent service. Sat by water next to the only clean window, so I could take photos of boats and a Heron. Lunch for two (sandwich and coffee) was $48. Realized afterwards that we could have had a better lunch across the street for less than $25. Over-rated!

We ordered the cod fish and chips and it comes with 3 small pieces and fries. The batter is very crispy and the fish is tasty. The fries are fresh and crispy. The fish and chips are perfectly done and worth to try it. First time I have fish and chips in boathouse, usually we go for their seafood dishes.

My wife, daughter, and I visited here for a nice supper before she went to the hospital the next day for a procedure. Staff was awesome, and the view is amazing. Not a busy weekday evening, myet the "ceremony" to be seated was a bit over the top. Food choices and quality, very good. Wine choices excellent. I didn't know how good high quality B.C. Wines could be. The growling owl Chardonnay was exceptionally good with the black cod I ordered. Service was pleasant and efficient and a good dinner with great... More

The service was good, we ordered halibut and chips but ended up with cod and chips. However, the server apologized and try to get something else, but we were in a hurry. Overall the food was really good. We visited again for my Son's birthday.

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
