Ahoy Matey!

We went for lunch during the week. We were seated right away and had a great view. There was only one waitress, so service was a bit slow. My fiancé had the salmon and enjoyed it. I had the grilled chicken sandwich which was good but nothing special. Would go again.

This Vancouver stalwart remains a fixture at English Bay for a reason. Beautiful view, comfortable atmosphere, good service, and a menu focused on very good seafood. The halibut and chips are the best in the city. 'nough said. *note: very limited selections for vegetarians.

The Boathouse at sunset is just an absolute must do in Vancouver. It has been around for many years and still just simply delights your every expectation for great food and service and a view of English Bay.

We did not have reservations however they seated us very quickly. Drinks and appetizers very prompt and delicious. I had the crab stuffed prawns and they were so yummy. The veiw was amazing and service was great. My coworker had the steak and it was a bit tough so the cook sent out free dessert and apologies. Definatley will return.

Made a reservation, but were seated in the middle of the room, even though there were window seats. Food was alright, but by no means great. Service was also okay, but the waiter wanted to take our food order before even asking us if we wanted a drink., and at no time did he return and ask us if we... More

It was a Valentines evening dinner and the best way to commence would be with the good. The food was excellent, the cooked halibut was exquisite and the raw oysters were fresh and delicious. The reservation had been made specifically for a window seat, this was not available, yet a reservation had been made for a window seat. My companions... More

I have fond memories of the Boat House but was very disappointed by my recent experience. The place was pretty much empty, not all tables by the windows were occupied. And no one else elsewhere. The food was too expensive for what we got and the quality was only OK. Have they turned out to be just a tourist trap?... More

That was my dining companion's assessment. Hard to disagree. 'Dine Out Vancouver' menu - but no stinting on the portions or the quality. Dining room is upstairs - views from window seats are superb. Wait staff were more mature than the usual Vancouver servers - which was a change. Food - excellent - Miso Halibut was tasty and a good... More

The 3 of us went for dinner mid-week and got a table by the window right away. The service was very good and the choices on the menu were plentiful. We started with calamari and shared. For main courses we all ordered fish...Miso Halibut, Blackened Steelhead and Wild Sockeye Salmon. Hard to pick the winner, they were all just amazing!... More

We had made reservations and arrived a few minutes early. We were greeted promptly but the staff seemed very disorganized. Also, the facility seemed "long in the tooth" and needs attention. We were seated 10 minutes later but then had to wait upstairs a minute while the table was cleared. The food was just OK overall. We had the special... More
