Stopped in and had fried cheese appy, lasagna, and roast lamb. Food was plenty, service awesome and fast, and price was very reasonable. Rates as my favororite Greek place all around. Very tasty and delicious.

I was in Vancouver for summer school at UBC. After tonnes of research for affordable and yummy restaurants in Vancouver, my friends and I decided to try this greek place located on Davies Street. The queue for this restaurant was always so long so we assumed that it had to be really worth the queue. Honestly, I don't think it's... More

Had dinner at Stepho's this weekend, as usual the place is crowed and cramped but our service was good and so was just about everything we ate. Starters of hummus and pita, also steamed mussels, and a plate of cold octopus. Hummus and mussels fantastic, the octopus was OK. Then we had roast lamb and moussaka. The lamb was really... More

We were in Vancouver only a short time to tour UBC and noticed there were many Greek restaurants in the area. We walked by one that was empty; then we noticed Stepho's which was pretty full. We went in and were delighted by the warm, cozy atmosphere. Be warned: the restaurant is cramped but cozy. Luckily, we didn't have a... More

we went as a family and ordered different Souvlakies and Calamari dinner. The Food was really good but the space was really tight and being comfortable wasn't easy.

Has been our go to place for Greek food for years. Unfortunately last night was our last Stephos experience. Everything was great until we noticed the GIGANTIC COCKROACH climbing on the wall along side our table. I immediately notified staff and they didn't seem particularly surprised they just simply scooped it up with a cloth and it was business as... More

I thought it was some sort of weird Vancouver thing. Why line up for such a long time for Greek food? Then, last Sunday, there was miraculously no line and I had the roast lamb. The knife was not needed. It melted off the bone. I spent a glorious hour savouring this delicious meal. I cannot possibly describe this in... More

We had heard good things about the place, but were very disappointed. My moussaka was quite cold when I received it, and turned out to be stone cold in the middle, having been poorly reheated from frozen. The waiter was quick to apologize and had the kitchen "cook" a replacement dish, but after more than 10 minutes of waiting, when... More

I stopped by here one afternoon for a quick lunch to go. I got a Greek salad which didn't live up to the good reviews I heard the salad had no taste. I also got ekmek for desert which was pretty good.

When you enter Stepho's, you have gone back to Greece. The atmosphere is warm and inviting (but you do have to line up outside usually, because the restaurant is so popular). Once in, just let your imagination take over. The decor, the food, the smells, the atmosphere - it's an island in Greece. The food is fantastic - consistently so.... More
