They have a decent draft beer selection including some famous Belgian beers, German Hefewiezen and Pilsner Urquell. Even bigger bottled beer selection. I had the Mariner mussels the broth was on the salty side, average taste but the mussels were big, juicy , plump, without the "strange" taste.

After many years as Stella's, a legal wrangle has forced owners to rename this fine establishment. Visiting daughter in Vancouver, wife and I joined her for dinner there last evening (11/11/13). There are basically three categories of food - we went for all three. There are six mussel dishes on the menu, wife went for her favorite with wine, lemon,... More

We love coming to Commercial Drive to eat and today we happened upon Biercraft Tapa. It has an outdoor patio but we sat inside and were promptly served. The menu selection was amazing and we decided to share tapa which were amazing! They also had main entrees for those not wanting tapas. The dessert was to die for! The selection... More

The restaurant was NOT closed but rather renamed. Open and excellent in 2012. Prix fixe menu gives better value. Service excellent, amazing choice of beers.

Warm and cozy pub.... food is good. Casual fare while you're shopping on the Drive. Service is good, don't mind the tatties

We had GREAT service by Gavin, a superb beer list, and the food was amazing. the only downside was that -- like any good Belgian Mussel and Beer House -- it was REALLY loud. However, the Moules et Frites Normande was just amazingly great and my wife's Steak Frites was as good as she's ever had. Really a superb meal... More

We've been here many times in the late afternoon or evening and have always been impressed by the knowledgeable staff and the fabulous food. The specialty is their extensive Belgian beer selection and the ability of the servers to guide you through the maze according to your taste. This visit was for brunch with the family and while the food... More

Stella's Tap and Tapas Bar is now Biercraft Tap and Tapas. It still has the same great atmosphere for a snack and a few beer. Great sit up bar, where you can watch the servers pour the many choices of draft beer, to the white cloth table service on the main and lower level. It can get a little crowded... More

We live in the neighbourhood, and have been going here on average about 6 times a year since it opened 6 years ago - and we always enjoy it. Service is excellent (only once in all that time did we ever have a problem), tapas are tasty (and suitable for vegetarians), beer selection fabulous, and wines quite decent. Always a... More

The title says it all...it was sad experience, but I did not wish to ruin my family outing by complaining. As a professional my standards may be more exacting, but I never go out intending to nit-pick or analyse, just relax and let someone else do the cooking...I even eat at greasy spoon places (sometimes) and enjoy, but here the...
