We went to the Steamworks on a Saturday for lunch. The Steamworks is particularly famous for their various house craft beers. Therefore, we opted for a sample of 4 different beers that you can freely choose from the menu. All of them very quite tasty. The burgers we had (salmon and angus beef) were also very good, as well as... More

We had a few drinks here and the atmosphere was really cool. We only had bar snacks downstairs. They were great , but there's a restaurant upstairs. A good stopover if you're checking out all the cool shops in Gastown.

Our server did not really seem all that interested. This place is allegedly famous for their in house craft beer but when we asked about different selections there was no offer of samples. When we clarified he said it was up to us to ask. The guy seemed to have an attitude. Food was very average and took a long... More

I made a reservation (via Trip Advisor and Opentable) to go here after watching the sunset from the observation tower. On arrival we were sat in a nice window seat. 2 minutes later we were asked to move because children were not allowed in that part of the restaurant. So we went downstairs and were guided to a table against... More

We stopped by there twice on the weekend for beers & appy's and lunch the second day. The brews are made right on site and quite tasty. I especially liked the Scotch Ale and my wife liked the Saison. The boys loved the burgers, I tried the pizza. All was good, including the service.

We enjoyed an excellent bowl of Clam Chowder - although the bar area was very busy a table for two was quickly found for us and the service was good.A great atmosphere and a very interesting quieter section downstairs. Although it was rather a trek to the washrooms within the old brewery building the ladies was truly amazing - quite... More

I love visiting local breweries when traveling, so I was looking forward to sampling Steamworks. We arrived later on a Saturday night, and the place was packed! Right when walked in the door, a staff member helped us find a seat at the downstairs bar. They have a beer menu with their current offerings, and they offer multiple sizes in... More

on a wet Sunday with time to kill before meeting family at the airport, we decided to head to Steamworks. We had a pitcher of ale that wasn't on the list so I can't say what it was but it was good. We then had the roast 1/2 chicken. Great sauce, mash potatoes and asparagus but I don't think 2... More

...... And beer, of course. We have always found the service quick and courteous, the selection of beers very good and the food excellent. Some other reviews called the food mediocre and "standard pub fare," but I think it's a cut above. The dry ribs are meaty and succulent and the lamb burger is outstanding, I've also found the salads... More
