I had the free range chicken breast which was great, the service was spot on and the view of the lights were wonderful. Great holiday venue.

Went with 7 friends after a beautiful walk through Festival of Lights (which were worth it). Waited 15 min before finally asking if we could get drinks, then had to ask for bread (we got 7 tiny rolls for group of 8), kale salad was delish all other dishes small but OK, 2 were only lukewarm, Americano barely warm, &... After a very enjoyable evening viewing the Christmas lights of Van Dusen gardens, we went to the Shaughnessy restaurant for supper. It was very busy so having reservations was a good idea. We were seated right away and had very good service. Our meals were brought in short order and were hot and very good. The quality of the food... More

This food in this restaurant is consistently good. It is a good location to meet friends for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is located on the edge of the beautiful Van Dusen Gardens, where there is always something in bloom throughout the year.

We got a sneak peak of the Festival of Lights 2014 and decided to check out Shaughnessy Restaurant - adjacent to the gardens. With their "greenhouse" like windows, the restaurant has a beautiful view particularly at night during the Festival of Lights. It was a magical Christmas feeling. We were too late to enjoy the food menu - however, the... More

When we arrived we were seated immediately and given 2 menus and on the top was the name of one of us who was having a birthday dinner that night. Our drinks arrived immediately and they were perfect. The wait staff are just great and we always get such great service from them all. A very special place to eat.

One of our regular restaurants when we visit Vancouver. Nestled in Van Dusen Gardens the restaurant serves upscale, unique food that is delicious. The service staff is totally accommodating and is willing to serve entrees as you like it. Desserts are superb and can be shared. The restaurant has a very pleasant, bright atmosphere even when the weather doesn't cooperate.... More

I have been here before and love the food. A group of us were treated to dinner recently. Between the gorgeous Christmas light display outside, the fantastic food and great company it was a memorable night. Being an older crowd none of us opted for any appetizers so with a couple of excellent wines to start we went straight to... More

We were a group of 7 for dinner the other night. Most of us had appetizers and we all enjoyed them. Having said that, mine was the striped beet salad and it was just average. I asked for a blue cheese substitution which was not a difficult one and it could hardly be seen on the plate. Every entrée looked... More

BE SURE TO MAKE A RESERVATION, even for lunch. My husband is lactose-intolerant and ate the salmon. He rated it 4 out of 5. Be sure to state to your waiter that you are lactose intolerant, so they don't cook the salmon in butter. I, the vegetarian, ate Braised Kale & Quinoa. It was delicious. I rate it 5 out... More
