We were in Vancouver for one night and the hotel recommended Raincity Grill. Do not go there. The service is horrendous, food boring and extremely overpriced for the poor food and service you get. First, the menu is very limited. I wanted fish, but am allergic to shellfish. I asked to have my cod prepared without the mussels. Food arrived... More

We planned a 40th anniversary meal at the Raincity grill tonight, since we have enjoyed many wonderful meals there in the past. However, the menu was so limited yet overpriced, that it was obvious that it has changed management. We then decided to leave the restaurant, and the staff were not surprised at us leaving, so this maybe happening frequently.... More

I planned here a romantic evening for my wife. It was our first wedding-anniversary. I mailed a few times with this restaurant to make some plans. They told me no problem. But when we arrived they messed up everything. No table ready so everything I asked didn't happen. They should have said it in the first mail, that they don't... More

I was on a business trip, long day, and the Raincity grill was right out the door of my hotel. Absolutely was worthwile... great service, very nice setting and the dinner items I had were very tasty and well presented.

I'm a local and this is one of my favorite places--nice atmosphere, food and service are always great; nice views from the small patio outside--great for people-watching. Lots of local items on the menu and almost everything is (or can be prepared) gluten-free.

Although the menu is limited the food is excellent, especially the rib eye steak, the staff are very pleasant and Claire was especially helpful, taking the time to e-mail places to visit in Vancouver.

Middling quality, under-portioned, overpriced food that we waited over an hour to get. Our waitress commiserated and was apologetic, at about 15 minute intervals, while we waited. She explained the wait on the kitchen having to deal with a party of 11—we were a party of three, and two other couples near us appeared to have similar waits for their... More

This is a great restaurant, we ate here two years ago and were eager to come back with our daughter. We had a lovely outdoor table, and the staff were happy to accommodate our daughter's gluten free diet. The menu features local foods, and the dishes are imaginative and delicious. Both times we were impressed with the warm welcome and... More

While vacationing with my family, the five of us ate our first dinner in Vancouver at this restaurant, which was convenient to our hotel. The menu and preparation were fairly original and very good all around. The soup (cauliflower and cream) was exceptional. I'd definitely eat here again. The food, service, and atmosphere were all worth experiencing again.

Although most seem to have found Raincity Grill to be excellent our experience, especially considering the price, was just passable and we are not particularly snobbish about restaurants. The wait service was just okay. Our main complaint was that although all the food had items that should have made it taste interesting, it was simply not combined to do so-I... More
