Great brunch but not a great service

First of all, with no doubt their Mimosa was great! And of course the tasty Monsieur Benedict! The quality of food was really good and staffs were really friendly, though the service wasn't good. It was a long wait to get the menus, give the order and get your food.

While this restaurant was in Vancouver's top eating places for 2015, I went in with very high hopes. Considering I have a wealth of experience of dining out in Vancouver, as well as after having spent a considerable amount of time in the Mediterranean, this place comes nowhere near the suggested cuisine in what it so strongly upholds. The fish... More

Attention to detail, excellent ingredients, and true passion easily overcome the limitations of this small restaurant. I have eaten here quite a few times, but alas, not recently. I was able to do a pre-set diner as part of the Vancouver Wine Festival and was instantly reminded about what I was missing. Scallops cooked to perfection, a duck that was... More

In the Point Grey neighbourhood of Vancouver, there are suprisingly few good (or even decent) restaurants, and that makes Provence Mediterranean Grill seem more impressive than it really is. This room has changed little in twenty years; it's reliably "okay" food, California-Euroean fusion, nothing risky. But Provence has always been noisy and often overcrowded. It is a restaurant now past... More

We came as a party of 2 couples to this for us new restaurant during the presently ongoing Vancouver Dine-Out, having been impressed by the menu presentation. The restaurant has a pleasant, neat but definitely not romantic ambience. On this special occasion it was totally filled and thus quite noisy. The small entrance area is very crammed in the winter... I have eaten here several times and it is always good. Good cuisine and prompt, competent, friendly service. Excellent bouillabaisse - $29.00. Highly recommended.

What a perfect spot for a business lunch. Light and bright, with a good atmosphere and pleasant staff, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal starting with the delicious creamed tomato soup followed by the rainbow trout. With lots to discuss yet mindful of another meeting to attend, I appreciated the efficient (yet not hurried) and friendly service. I'd definitely return. Thank... More

Friends and I went to Provence for brunch - mainly because they'd been before and enjoyed it so much they wanted to go back. We were the first to arrive on a Sunday morning - and the only customers for some time. Therefore, I was disappointed that my eggs benedict dish was not hot - basically just lukewarm. The coffee... Provence Mediterranean Grill seems to do everything right. It's there for brunch, it impresses my out of town guests and i can count on their catering to please my dinner guests. Sunday brunch menu offers elegant cinnamon french toast served with butter cream and maple syrup. I wanted more, but it was just right. Eggs with sides of fries, sausage... More

My son and I went in for a late dinner and we shut the place down; nevertheless everyone was cordial and we never felt rushed. The chef's specials were delicious, and just the right amount. We both ad the lobster crepes; then he had the scallop-encrusted trout and I had the braised lamb shank. Both easy dishes to screw up,... More
