Great Food, Service and Ambience in Yaletown

Friends and family have been here for brunch and they love it so we decided to try this restaurant for dinner. We did not know it was Dine out Vancouver. Parking is easy at the grocery market just around the corner. I didn't know it was Dine out Vancouver and I don't usually like the Dine out... read more

3 of my friends and I came here for Dine Out Vancouver. We reserved the table online. We arrived on time and waited for about 15-20mins while we wait for the table before us to finish. Food: I got the warm goat cheese salad. The goat cheese was deep fried so it was something I have never tried before. The... More

I had New Years eve lunch at the restaurant. It seemed like they were understaffed as it took a very long time to get our drinks and for our order to be taken. The bouillabaisse broth was very salty, the glass of sparkling wine that I ordered was flat and sweet, i exchanged it for a different BC bubble that... More

Provence, newly renovated, has a beautiful interior decor, along with a great location overlooking the ocean. I found it has a cheerful, informal ambience, lively but quiet enough to have a good conversation. The service was prompt, friendly and knowledgable. Complimentary nibbles were a nice touch. Feeling festive, I chose the rack of lamb as my main course. Was not... More

We went the morning of Christmas Eve, and we had an enjoyable couple of hours--friendly service, good coffee, tasty food, and end, light but delectable French toast.

We went for brunch on a Saturday morning. The restaurant is obviously very popular. There were so many servers so you always had access to your server plus others coming around regularly with water and coffee. I am always happy to see an alternative to eggs. I had a pasta dish that was good but not amazing. My husband had... More

Go for the lunch special: a starter plus an entree for $24. Meals come with a bottomless basket of bread and butter. My onion soup was steaming hot with big bread chunks and nice stringy cheese; the trout entree included a perfectly-prepared square fillet, ... All the choices at our table of four were beautifully presented and tasted great. This... More

Provence is conveniently located in Yaletown overlooking the marina and walking distance from the False Creek seabus and Roundhouse Canada Line station. They have a varied menu and the service is usually very good.

This is a beautiful restaurant overlooking the water. Whenever we are overnight in Vancouver we make point of waiting for breakfast and going to Provence. We always get the same thing and it is amazing - Crab Cake eggs benedict. It is to die for and with one of their mamosa's and a coffee, it is a great breakfast. The... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighborhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
