Lemon grass chicken lunch

I believe this is the second one on Kingsway and the dish I liked was lemon grass chicken. Rich in taste and large in portion, it can't go wrong for the dish. The place seems like a family owned restaurant and don't expect too much - grand decor and nice setting. But it hits the spot every time I... read more

Food is good compared to other Vietnamese restaurants nearby (the restaurant has won several Vancouver awards) but the service is just terrible. Servers are close to ignoring you and sometimes with a bit of attitude. If it wasn't for the food, I wouldn't bothering coming here. So be warned.

A popular restaurant for a good reason. The food is good. As a party of three, we each had a bowl of soup and for a small size, it was fairly large and very tasty. My soup had prawns which were crisp and fresh - a good sign! For a busy mid afternoon lunch, service was brisk and no- nonsense.... More

I ordered my go-to, the Pho Tai Gan (Vietnamese rice noodles with beef tendon and rare beef slices) in the large size. The soup isn’t as oily as Thai Son, and it comes with the standard fare of scallions, cilantro, and onions in the beef-based broth. The noodles were quite chewy to my surprise which I remember fondly of their... More

The Kingsway & King Edward location is the chain's original, then they opened a second location along Victoria Dr near 41st (now closed) and third location along Kingsway towards Boundary Road. This review is for their third location. Basically, they serve Pho noodles & variety of rice dishes with lemon grass pork chop or chicken, there is the usual deep... More

My friend and went here based on the review it got. It wasn't a busy day. Service wasn't very good. Server seemed almost irritated. Dishes are greasy and dirty. I felt so sick afterwards I'm definately convinced I caught a stomach bug. The food was okay but it's cheap. They messed up on our order even though my friend complained... More

We were eager to try out this place due to its reputation. Indeed the food presentation was above average but it was disappointingly an illusion. The Phnom Penh soup was too salty and the salad that came with the duck bamboo soup was filled with bean sprouts... The rice rolls stuffed with pork and black mushroom was good but the... More

We had lunch here. The buffé was goodtasting and you got a lot of thai food and even sushi. The drink and coffee with cockies were included in the price whis was very reasonable. Yoy got a lot for your money.

Ok, considering we had problems getting our table to be in a place where the waiters have space to walk by, I could tell we weren't gonna come out happy. The waitress did not say "hi", or anything, she just came and said "what do you want to order?". The strawberry milkshake was, well, not enjoyable. It didn't taste good... More

This was the second time we had eaten here, and things have gone down hill. The Pho broth is still wonderful, but the additions this time were meagre and frightful- beef tendon does not mean gristle... The decor is quite ghastly, and the young, completely self-absorbed server took no time to explain menu items, even when explicitly asked. I ordered... More
