Ugly Exterior, Nice interior, Excellent food

Driving by this place makes you NOT want to go here...but that would be a mistake. Once you get inside you think there is mayhem in how they operate but they certainly know what they are doing. The service is good but the food is excellent...go ahead and go inside...enjoy

This is one of our favorite Asian restaurant in Vancouver. They are always busy, if you come during dinner time, the line up always long. But it's worth the wait. Their chicken wing is the best I've ever have. Crispy, and very tasty. And the hot and sour soup also very good, tasty and refreshing. Those two dishes are our... More

We ate here last night , worth the wait If you've travelled around South East Asia , you'll appreciate this restaurant and its menu. The proof is in the clientele , I'm sure it was 90% Asian. We ate the Beef luc lac , & Vietnamese spring rolls with pork & shrimp, beef pho soup, all tasty & generous portions.... More

First, it's not authentic Vietnamese. It's Chinese-run - not that this is necessarily bad - but the Vietnamese writing on the menu, and the Vietnamese/Cambodian decor in the restaurant, almost makes it feel like the people who run the restaurant are trying to fool the customers. So if it's not authentic Vietnamese, what is it? It's stodgy Chinese-Canadian food, essentially... More

First trip to Vancouver, my son and I were staying in a nearby neighborhood and this was recommended. We got there about 8PM on a Sat. eve, and had a 30 minute wait. It was well worth the wait. Had the marinated butter beef, which was thinly sliced raw meat in a vinegar, butter, cilantro marinade. It was outstanding and... More

Waited 45 min in a very crowded, mostly oriental customers, thought it must be good , how very wrong we were after a recommendation, they gave us 10 min to order and eat after waiting 45 minutes, then came the popular chicken wings , very garlicky, but very dry, and the chicken and ham dish on rice , came from a... The food here (Cambodian and Vietnamese) was pretty flavorful. Most of the items are very meat heavy, so it's not really a good place for vegetarians. The place looks pretty popular. We got there at 5:10 pm on a Wednesday night and had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a table for 2. When we left about an hour later,... More

There is a big line on Saturday nights. Get there by 4 PM or come back and hour later after leaving your name with staff. However, there is a reason for the line. I am very picky about fried squid. It is lightly breaded here, non greasy and cooked to perfection. The butter beef (raw and beautifully thin) is out... More

I managed to come here on two occasions with Team Pub, Team Block Party, and Team Tastic and we had a taste of the Beef Luc Lac, Chicken Wings, Beef soup, and the 2 Kinds Dry Noodles with Soy Sauce and Meats. Seriously, my second outing everyone but me ordered a Beef Luc Lac. Just what is going on here?... More

This place is a fairly famous place in the China Town in Vancouver. We got there at about 7:30pm on a Thursday, and there was an hour wait. The food was good, but not great (I've had better in New York City and San Francisco, among other places), and a bit expensive for the price. It wasn't really worth the... More
