Best buffet ever!

Bistro 101 is a training restaurant. The students at Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts learn how to run a restaurant. Therefore, you may experience little hiccups. For example, our server wasn’t very knowledgeable about wines. Also, he forgot to ask us how we wanted our steaks cooked. That’s... read more

My wife and I had been to this restaurant a few weeks back, and found it to be unique, and justifying the general reviews that i had read. However when we returned for a family event-celebration dinner, we were disappointed, and feel that we could have had a more special occasion elsewhere, hence I regret my decision to have chosen... We dined here the first night we arrived in Vacouver and it just set the tone for what we were after with dining in Vancouver. The service was a little slow but the food that came out looked and tasted great. We took plenty of pictures of each dish and enjoyed all three courses. We each ended up choosing a... More

We live close by the restaurant, so always wanted to try it out. It was a great experience, due to the fantastic food, and friendly atmosphere. Not too formal, at the same time elegant and feels special. It is an additional feature that one can see the cooks and the chef working on the preparations. It is good to have... More

My partner and I visited twice for lunch, once full service and once a buffet. The food is prepared and served by culinary students, but we could have been in a five star restaurant with experienced and clever chefs. Everything about the two lunches was perfect, with an unbelievable price. Highly recommended!

We went with friends and found that our meal was delicious but portions were small. I had Artic Char that was cooked perfectly and I asked for potatoes instead of rice and the substation was no problem. A few of our friends had lamb that was unfortunately cold when it arrived but still very tasty. The dining room was lovely... More

I had a delicious three course meal. The prawn soup was very tasty and my trout was hot and tasty. The white chocolate desert left me wanting more. I had a great experience but a few in our large party would pass. I would go back.

Seven ladies enjoyed lunch at this restaurant. The menu was varied, The special for the day was really, really good, considering it was a culinary school. The presentation of the food was attractive and the food was great. Very appealing. Their desserts were delicious...not so sweet, good for those watching their diet.

I had a ton of fun trying out their various entrees but I think the most interesting items here are their desserts. For the main course, we had options likeHerbed Prawns, Risotto,Seasoned Chicken, Tuna Ceviche Salad, and Sweet Potatoes. Generally an eclectic selection of western fare, this was great in presentation but in taste the ceviche tasted the freshest while the chicken was... More
