My husband and I were leaving Granville Island and walking across Granvillle Street bridge. We came upon a sandwich inboard advertising 3 course meal for $26.00. Intrigued we went to look at the menu and went inside. Much to our surprise we found a coffee and fresh baked pastries for $3.00. Always love good pastries we had a chocolate croissant... More

While on holiday in Canada, my husband and I decided on a Big bus tour of Vancouver. We alighted from the bus at Granville Island with the hope of finding a nice place to have lunch. We initially walked past Bistro 101 because the prices were really cheap and we wanted to see if there was any other eatery across... More

I used to truly believe in this place as one of the top dining experiences in Vancouver. Now its become really just another place to eat. Yes you can still see the students prepping food and yes you are usually served by a very nice student who is learning every aspect of the business but for me to be met... More

The young people who serve and cook at this culinary school were amazing today, my family thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We arrived without a reservation and Adam the maître d' fitted us in (we raised a glass to the people who cancelled their table!) and we were so glad he did. We all started with the appetiser of scallops which... More

I initially went to eat at Bistro 101 as a birthday treat and, being a food lover but not a food snob, I was worried that it would be wasted on me! However, the food was great- different things to what I'm used to eating and presented beautifully. All the staff are really friendly and it's great to be a... More

This bistro is operated by students of the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts. There is supervision to assure its success. The price is what one would pay at a normal 3 or 4 star restaurant. Some selections change every day, but there are also continuing items of excellence. The student servers work diligently to provide a first class setting. We... More

IHave been there four times and have been never disappointed. It is a four course meal for $20.00 and you have many choices. You do have to reserve but if you are going down to Granville Island for the day, it is a wonderful lunch to have.

I took my husband to Bistro 101 as a birthday treat on a rare day in Vancouver. We reserved, and asked for a quiet table, as it can be busy. Went here for our first time and enjoyed the full course meals thoroughly. Perfectly made. Great service. Flavourful food. Course meal for two was well priced. Minimum seating requires reservations in advance but ensures a personal and intimate dinner in the granville island area. Great place for a date!
