Cajun food South Granville style

The bistro has a lovely patio in the back, secluded so you don't feel like it's almost in the alley. And their front patio feels like you are in a small European restaurant (or maybe Louisiana?) Their crab cakes are amazing!! And Saturday nights in the summer are lively!

Nothing particularly different about the ambiance - though we enjoyed seating in the small patio out back (shaded, depending on the time of day-no A/C in the restaurant so far as we could tell). But the food was some of the best we have had anywhere (including New Orleans!). The service was excellent and friendly. And it did not cost... More

This place has a great vibe with a dimly lit well stocked bar and funky New Orleans style art on the walls. We enjoyed wings and a jambalaya, both of which were very nice - not the best but stil very tasty. Each night of the week is a food and drink special which is great. Would go back to... More

My Wife, Daughter and I went there on a Saturday night, it was quite busy so I would recommend reservations. The service was good and the the beer even better, great atmosphere. The portions were generous and I ordered the seafood Gumbo and my Wife and Daughter ordered the Seafood Creole, They were very happy with their choice and enjoyed... More

My son lives nearby. I went to visit, and we needed a local bar. I was in Kitsilano three nights and we went to Ouisi three times. Friendly service, good New Orleans tunes, one good meal. Fun, relaxed. All good

The Ouisi Bistro is a great little local find. The atmosphere was quaint and rootsy with its paintings on the wall and feux need a new ceiling look. I had the Sunday Shrimp Special and was quite surprised that it was extremely flavorful and had an edgy bite to it. I love the spice. My sweet tooth cut in so... More

One of my favourite places during the summer. You would never guess it, but they have a great little patio out back. Super quite and tranquil. Later in the evenings the place changes pace and offers great Live jazz. Check this place out!

I recently celebrated my birthday here- my family made a last minute dinner reservation for us and they were great in the way of accommodating us. I have wanted to try this restaurant many times, but finally had the chance, the décor and atmosphere was really fun and eclectic (which I love!). We had appetizer of crab cakes-while the flavour... The menu could be ideal for someone else but for me, who doesn't like a lot of spice, it's limited. I've discovered their brunch is pretty good and the BLT sandwich is my go to as it's very good--just not very filling. The place is beautiful and when they have live music it's great!

Very authentic cuisine and interior design. Much like Crescent City Brewery in New Orleans. Beautiful paintings of jazz artists adorn e walls here. Very warm feeling. Great food. I had the jumbalaya with salad and cole slaw. My husband had the Grandville dinner of chicken breast, an other had the alligator! And another friend had the veggie cheesecake! All very... More
