Good food; average show

We made reservations on a Tuesday night for 5 people at 7:30pm. When we arrived there were only two other groups there but it started to fill up shortly afterwards. The pricing is very reasonable (varies between $23 and $55) and each selection comes with soup, salad, vegetables (onions, green... read more

I took my 2 adult nieces to Osaka in June and had made a reservation. I arrived after a trip nearly 1 hour early. I was quickly seated in the waiting area and offered a drink. The time waiting flew by as they had a nice sized big screen showing the basketball game. Neither of the nieces had been before... More

Ok, Japanese restaurant....I was thinking fish/sushi......but MAAAAAAAN, I was soooo wrong. you sit at a u shaped table with a stainless steel cooking plate in front of you.....and a chef comes and prepares your meal, Filet Mignon in our case, and away he went. It was a show stopper. Friendly funny guy, cooked all the meat and vegetables to sheer... More

Great food and a wonderful show by the chef. Reasonably priced for both portion size and location of restaurant. A fun experience for the whole family. Children friendly!

The quality and cut of meat is great. Accompanied sauces to dip the fresh sauteed-before-your-eyes meats and veggies. A wonderful time as they perform nice tricks and a show while u wait. Not too loud so you can actually talk and mingle with others at the communal tables surrounding the brilliant chefs. Quick and kind service. Been here many times... More

The food was more than palatable; the service was great. While this is not the most flavourful teppenyaki I've had, ingredients were very fresh and portions plentiful, especially considering I usually find Japanese cuisine to be on the lean side. Lemon butter grilled prawns were tantalizing, but I found my beef to be lacking. Teriyaki chicken was moist, soup was... More

We, as a family of 10, have been dining @ Osakas since it opened in the old location of McLeans restaurant some 15+ yrs ago. The staff and chefs in particular are simply amazing. They entertain, engage you in conversation and the service is 2nd to none. They always are friendly & energetic and really are there to make sure... More

this is the place to do when you just want some solid tappanyaki food not caring too much about the ambiance and cook show. The menu price here for the same dishes at Kobe are about $10 cheaper. Food portions here are very filling with all the vegies they give you and the salad, soup and shrimp that's included with... More

We returned here after a three-year absence to discover it's still going strong (after 17 years in business) and it has the same discount offer (up to $35 off the bill). Parking is free: keep your receipt and ask for a rebate. Service was excellent and the food as well, better than the other times we've been here in fact.... More

Year after year we enjoy the Osaka experience. Last time, though, our chef kept asking my husband to refill his ( the chef's) sake glass! We had offered him a glass to be cordial but he kept on asking! Just putting the cup over beside our carafe. Found out later that he is one of two owners!!!!! Shocking and classless.
