Nostalgia of a Small Family-Eatery - Nick's Spaghetti House

This small Italian family run restaurant has been around for over 40 years, mainly with a good reputation for its authentic home made dishes at reasonable prices. The last time I enjoyed a meal here was the late 1970's due to not being in the area during meal times. Attending a Friday evening... read more

Nick's meat lasagna is amazing. Every bite of the very large portion was delicious. Too much food to eat and had to take the rest home and it was just as amazing when warmed up. Their dinner salad was massive so we had one and shared it. The rolls they serve prior to dinner are warm and wonderful. The dessert... More

We laugh at the negative reviews that come in for this place - come people just love to complain. The fact remains that Nick's continues to do it right and nothing has really changed since they started. Waitresses have been there forever and are like family. The meatballs are fantastic and it is the best lasagna anywhere. Ribs are cooked... More

First time at Nicks for both of us. Not impressed with the area, or the entrance .. furniture is also well past it's due date. BUT .. the food is as good as you can get. Our server explained the meals and was VERY knowledgeable only adding to our dining experience. I was well pleased with my baked lasagna and... More

This used to be a semi regular go to place for us over 20 years ago. We were always very satisfied with the food. Recently I was back in the area and thought it was long overdue for a visit. As other reviews have mentioned, the decor is dated . I doubt anything has changed in that respect. We have... More

People need their heads examined for going here. Waitress acts like she's too busy to deal with you, when the place is practically empty. Her better-than-thou attitude alone deserves walking out. $15.00 minimum for pizza-joint quality entrees. Pasta soggy and dripping with water they were too busy (three customers total) to strain, sauce flavourless, as in from a can. Crazy... More

Whenever I am in the area I will visit Nicks (since 1979) and enjoy the pork chops with spaghetti. The chop is very large and thick and cooked perfectly. Spaghettis are to the best of my knowledge homemade and are cooked the way only Italians can do. Service very friendly and professional. One can say this place has not changed... More

First off - you can't find places like this anymore - Family ownded & run - where You can get great Italian and great Steaks - the ambiance is worth the trip - 50+ years of patina that you can feel - let alone looking over the entrance wall photo's of Nick's horses through the years that have run at... Nothing is good from this place. Anywhere is better than here. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is reheated. Meatballs taste like it was a couple of days old. I'm telling you this because I regret wasting money on this disgusting food. The old fat looking waitress has a cranky pissed off tone when you ask to order things... More

Do not waste your time or money. The food is so bad, the clams in white sauce was served with overcooked noodles in a salty soup and rubbery canned clams. The combo platter looks like a plate was moved down an assembly line and at each station a mound of flavourless overcooked food was unceremoniously slapped onto the plate. The... More
