Do not waste your time or money. The food is so bad, the clams in white sauce was served with overcooked noodles in a salty soup and rubbery canned clams. The combo platter looks like a plate was moved down an assembly line and at each station a mound of flavourless overcooked food was unceremoniously slapped onto the plate. The... More

I wouldn't waste any time or $$ to ever go back there. The service was rude - the waitress seemed like was like an effort to smile and the food wasn't any better. It's too bad some things have to change... it used to be the place to go - not anymore....

This use to be our "go to place" for a great dinner, and almost always before a Canuck's or Lions game. I have been coming here for over 30 years, but in the last couple years, quality has really fallen off. Prices up, but quality down. Portions are still large, but the last time I was here, ribs tasted like... More

Had heard about Nick's for several years. Visited November 18th to understand the hype. The old school, original decor was as I had expected and was anxiously anticipating. The prices were certainly greater than expected, however, the volume of food is immense. The food did fall a little short in quality and taste. As the menu states " tastes better... More

We had not visited the restaurant for a number of years - nothing has changes except for the prices. Pasta was good however the marinara sauce was not as good as I remembered. Portions were large with enough to take home. Kids meals were large although the pasta choices were limited. The salad was fresh and tasty. House wine was... More

This place is just OK . Food , service and price are all pretty ordinary . Quantities are huge . Price is very reasonable . I got the T-bone and although I liked the way they cooked it , it was pretty tough . Could only eat 1/2 . The decor hadn't changed in 50 years , which is OK... More

I've been to Nick's many times over the last 20 years. They don't have a fancy , refined restaurant so if you're looking for white linen and waiters in tuxedos, go somewhere else. BUT if you want great italian food served by waitresses who are familiar with the menu and have been employed for many years this is the place... More

Nick's has been a Vancouver favourite for more than fifty years. Located on Commercial Drive near Hastings Street it is a Taxi ride from the heart of downtown, but worth it. This is the place where the locals hang and the atmosphere and food are right from the past and to me, that's a good thing. A small intimate room... More

A true cosy mom and pop restaurant that makes you feel like your Italian even if you are not, I think the first time I was there I left with an accent! The steaks here are amazing, home cooked with enough garlic & butter to make any steak lover smile. The whole experience makes you smile. A must do experience,... More

I was taken to Nicks for a taste of old school Italian spaghetti house and was not disappointed. I ordered the cannelloni and it was very good. My friends and their kids had the spaghetti and meatballs and I was fortunate enough to sample some of the leftovers (fairly large portions). Great meatballs! The interior is old style (can't have...
