I have been a chef and chef-instructor for 28 years. Hands down, Lumiere was the finest dining I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. It was quite expensive, but an absolute bargain if you enjoy the finest food in a lovely surrounding served impeccably. Have been to lumiere a couple of times previously. This time we knew to expect small portions and the whole foodie experience. The food was good not great. We chose the wine pairing($39) the waiter barely gave us a half glass of wine during our 3 courses! Would never go back again. more

Yes, I know this is one or the premier restaurants in Vancouver but for some reason it just didn't do it for me. I'm not a big "tasting meal" kinda guy. more
