I asked for a recommendation for a good French bisto from a local store clerk in the very nice shopping area of Vancouver. She recommended Le Crocodile, Restaurant Francais. I reviewed the menu posted outside, and I could immediately tell this was the place for me since I did not have to even go beyond the list of appetizers to... More

The food was delicious and very nicely presented. The staff/waiters were attentive and courteous. What I did not like was the seating arrangement. We sat near the entrance despite reservation.

There are not to many fine restaurants that can celebrate 30 years in the business and this place will be celebrating many more years to come. We discovered this gem back in the late 80's when the chef Michel Jacob first opened the restaurant in a smaller place on Thurlow street. It was no surprise that he quickly outgrew that... More

Our final night in Canada and one of the best, Although I had booked the previous week as we passed bye this was on Saturday evening and consequently busy, so we did have a lateish booking and it was also still some time before any food arrived, A comprehensive menu of classically orientated dishes had almost to many must try... We went to Le Crocodile on a Wednesday night in August. Didn't expect it to be busy but pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere when we arrived. Sometimes fine dining can be too quiet and stuffy but this feels like a restaurant to just relax and chat and enjoy yourself. The food was outstanding, and the sauces in particular were a... More

My all time favourite french restaurant. I wasn't fond of the hostess at first because she reminded me of the air france lady at charles de gaulle airport who lost my luggage lol. But she's a great hostess, always giving me complimentary onion tarts. The kitchen is very accommodating too. I am a very fussy eater and I like my... More

Nice ambience with well done traditional French cuisine. Our waiter was knowledgeable, had a good sense of humor and did a great job of enhancing our dining experience at Le Crocodile without being stuffy. Definitely recommend this establishment.

After an amazing couple of days sightseeing we had been looking forward to our "nice night out" and it did not disappoint. The service was outstanding. Their attention to not only detail but ensuring the flavours were correct was the stand out. Thanks to the sommeliers our wine was perfect and courtesy of the wait staff our wine glass was... More
