A must see when visiting Vancouver

With such a huge option of flavours it's difficult to decide! (luckily they let you try the flavours to help you make up your mind!) Some very strange kinds such as curry and garlic as well as some nice twists on the usual flavours.

This place is a must on all my trips to Vancouver. We do not have shops like this in small towns on the prairies where I live and work, so it is fun to go in and consider all the flavours. Even with a milk allergy, my options of sorbet to are abundant. I highly recommend stopping here.

What a deception!!! We ordered two doubles... All four flavors were *terrible*. We couldn't even finish them. Tasted like bad, icy home made ice cream. Even the cone was terrible!

When I was single, it was a great place for a date. But also good when married too - great when you have to get out of house (to keep your sanity) and come home with dessert. Buy the 1/2 litre buckets as the ice cream is great. They are not cheap but it is a nice outing. They are... More

The place is very nicely laid out! 218 differents ice creams, gelatos, and sorbetto to try! The staff was so patient and helpful getting the hoards of people in the store samples of as 'many' flavors as you'd like to try! The choices were delicious! Not expensive, tons of selections, great service and amazing atmosphere!

Really? 218 flavors! Had an interesting texture but can't beat the variety and the service is friendly and helpful. It is in an industrial area so you would definitely need a car to get there.

A local recommended to us, so we checked it out during our visit. It was so cool. There were more than 218 flavours we counted, ranging from asian like pandan, durian, hot chcocolate chilli, to vegemite! There were a few sugarless ones as well.

We were pointed to La Casa Gelato by a friend who said it was a "must do". I was a bit dubious on the way as the neighborhood is a little scary, but don't let that deter you! It's hard to miss - a cotton candy pink building right on a corner. Parking was a challenge but, oh my -... More

After purchasing your token you can wonder around and taste as many flavors as you like. Some are a revelation of new flavors and some I could do without (kimchi comes to mind). The staff are eager to explain flavors you've never heard of. I ended up choosing nut kulti (tasted mostly of cardamom) and cinnamon - thereby creating almost a... More

After lunch elsewhere, we stopped at La Casa Gelato for dessert (park across the street in the pink parking lot). You pay as you enter; and at that time you choose one scoop or two. You are given a colour coded token, and now the hard part begins. With more than 200 gelato/sorbeto to choose from it was very hard... More
