We visited Joey's for dinner. Very nice atmosphere and warm welcome Food was overall good but not unforgettable The only problem was that our order was forgotten/lost, we had to re-order 30 minutes later and- in compensation- we were given salad while out order contained a salad already

Very few restaurants (cafes & diners included) welcome coffee drinkers in today's day and age. When I posed the question to the female wait staffer who greeted me I received a resounding "yes, of course, sit where you wish". Although I had just had lunch I couldn't resist the urge to indulge in the wonderful French fries that kept going... More

A colleague and I decided to meet downtown for an early meeting. I arrived when the doors opened at 7am. The first thing the enthusiastic server said was, "coffee"? Soon I was sipping a good quality cup of brewed coffee and perusing the decor and menu. The place has clean lines and seems to have been recently updated. There is... More

We didn't want to have breakfast at our too pricey for breakfast hotel so we went looking for a place to eat breakfast on our first morning in Vancouver and found Joe's Grill. It's a gem! Breakfast was very tasty and the price was affordable. On our second morning, we thought we would try Denny's across the street - not... More

The reception staff @ the Burrard Hotel suggested Joe's and we're so very glad they did. Nice, clean friendly and a tempting menu. The waiting staff were very friendly & helpful and the food came quite quickly and cooked well. All in all, a very pleasant breakfast experience and we would have no hesitation in recommending Joe's for breakfast. Go on,... More

We were only in Vancouver for a day, but wanted to explore a little bit of the city. We walked along the water for a while then headed further inland to make our way back to our hotel. We decided to grab a bite to eat. We stopped in at Joe's Grill and were seated outside. It was a bit... More

Consistently good neighborhood eatery for breakfast and/or brunch. The place is popular on the weekends though so be prepared to wait in line for a table, although the turnover is fairly quick so you won't wait long. The wait staff are friendly, fun and efficient. The food is good basic fare. I have been coming here for a number of... More

Called in for breakfast this morning as I was fed up of eating in the hotel restaurant. I ordered a chorizo and mushroom omelette. The food and service was great, as was the coffee. I'd also recommend their own hot sauce. I can't believe how people could pass this place up in favour of denny's!!!
