We had a table for 8 people. The service was beyond what was expected. The server was very attentive and not in your way. Two of us had the pork chop, with gnocci, and were very impressed. Another choice was halibut with beet risotto, was impressive also. Stuffed chicken was also recommended. Everyone was ravy about the food and service.

Very uneven food, & overpriced. Mussel appy excellent! However, N.Y. strip terrible, stringy, & served not very hot. Service was OK

Wednesday evening 7.00pmish. A number of tables occupied. Some delay before greet. No offer to take coats - hung them ourselves. Server polite - not offhand but not quite cheerful enough - a fine line but not quite right. She was knowledgeable enough to hint subtly that my food choice might not be ideal - in fact, more of this... More

Great service! Food was OK. If a man had to eat the Halibut I think they would have still been hungry afterwards. Others that I was with were OK with the meals. High price to pay for what you get. Maybe the steak would have been a better pick!

Had reservations for 5:30 pm and was seated immediately. The server was a man who was friendly and helpful but seemed a bit worn out from serving for probably longer than he wanted to in life. I ordered my son the Filet Mignon for his birthday and myself the steak sandwich. Both were way undercooked and when I sent my... More

My party and I were originally planning to go to the Keg in Yaletown, but the restaurant was packed and the kitchen would have closed shortly after we would've been seated. As we were leaving, I happened to see the Hamilton Street Grill and thought I'd give it a try, as a colleague had recommended it previously. The experience was... More

I would rate this restaurant "good" if Trip Advisor allowed a choice between "average" and "very good". The menu was solid, if not imaginative, but imaginative is not what you are looking for in a place like this. My steak was delicious and prepared as asked for it, my Stilton salad very enjoyable. The crème brûlée I had for desert... More

We were a party of 4 who had a great meal and service at the Hamilton Street Grill on December 1st. Many thanks to Stephen and the other staff who ensured that our visit and dinner was memorable...(the cheese fondue is a great starter). This was our second visit and we will be back! Bill & Heather

We visit HSG regularly because the food is consistently delicious and the servers are attentive and friendly. Chef/Owner Neil Wyles creates delectable specials and standards, and the wine tasting events are not only fun, they're a fantastic deal, with three wines and three taster appetizers. Check it out!

After reading mostly favourable reviews, we decided to try the Hamilton Street Grill. It was a Tuesday night. We wanted a nice meal, albeit not too formal, prior to a Steve Winwood concert. We didn't think we needed a reservation and just showed up. Well, surprise, surprise. Stepping in the door, we were told that they had a special guest,... More
