Thought I'd try this place out during Dine Out Vancouver. I reviewed many menus and this one looked really good. I was not disappointed. Started with the potato and leek soup, followed with the steel head trout over risotto entree and then had the gluten free chocolate cake. The cake was more like a dense chocolate mousse, but very tasty.... More

My girlfriend and I went to Hamilton Street Grill for Dineout 2016. We had a reservation and were promptly seated. The restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived at 5:30 but during our meal the restaurant filled up and got progressively noisier but not so loud that we couldn't hear each other. We ordered our wine and then reviewed the menu... More

Well, I don't get an opportunity to go out with my sister very often so we were really looking forward to a nice meal out before we went to the theater. Unfortunately that's not exactly what we got. Our evening started out good, we made a reservation for 5:30 on a Sunday night and got squeezed into a corner table... More

We had dinner here and enjoyed the food. Not really special but good grilled meat. Several large (family) groups were dining here.

Four of us came here for a nice meal. We found the starters to be good (mussels and mushroom tart) but our main meal of halibut was rather mediocre and disappointing. The place was noisy because of a bar that was a central part of the restaurant. I doubt that we would go back.

Based on a number of positive reviews, four of us went for dinner. There were very few diners (between 7 and 8:30 on a Thursday evening), but the bar area was busy and very noisy. It was very difficult to have a conversation - we moved tables in an effort to find a quieter spot but one did not seem... More

A group of 6 of us went for a dinner. The food was about 4.5 out of 5 however when the food was delivered to our table a mistake was made, one of us ordering the Halibut was given a steak in error. They said they would rush the halibut however it did take a good 10 minutes before the... More

I was last here 48 years ago when it was a coffee shop and I worked nearby. The building was saved. tastefully remodeled and incorporated into a new building but the old metal ceiling remains. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food was superbly prepared. The menu is limited but with the four specials added to the menu... More

The fixed price menu is excellent value--an imaginative salad followed by choice of entrees. Everyone around me was happy with their selections. My trout was superb! Substituted potato dish was fine. Dessert was chocolate and fun. Very popular place. Difficult to hear what a person across the table was saying.

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighborhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
