Best for business

Was taken here by a local business peer - perfect for meetings. Great view (ask for table by the water). Smart service respected that we were there to talk, such a nice quiet atmosphere. What blew me away was my beet salad - usually a boring choice but the salad had beet prepared 3 ways and each... read more

Was taken here for my birthday dinner, my first visit to dockside. We went for wine pairings with each course and there's a good range of very nice quality wines to choose from. The service was really friendly, not too casual, not too formal. Our waiter introduced himself by name at the start which is always a nice touch. My... More

My wife and I had dinner here a few days before Christmas in 2015. I ordered the prime rib medium-well and it came out rare (typical !).... But it was very delicious. My wife had the halibut which she said was amazing. The beer was cold !. The waiters were very professional and courteous. Over-all an excellent meal !

We arrived in the evening and wasn't able to enjoy the view. I would recommend the 5:00 seating in the winter as it gets dark so early. The steak was good and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The salmon was fresh and we especially enjoyed the caramel creme. Our server was friendly.

This is a tourist trap and as a Vancouver resident I must say that I feel pretty foolish at having gone to this restaurant without reading the reviews. It used to be a good restaurant . . . not anymore. The appetizers were tasty but very expensive. The sable fish main course contained a serving of fish that might have... More

First night of Dine Out Vancouver and we had the Salmon Dinner and Crème Brulee for dessert. We were served by Brian, one of their excellent waiters who explained the menu; service excellent; drinks perfect. Car valet met us at the door with umbrellas due to the rain and he also did the same when we left to get our... More

Great dining room overlooking False Creek. 180 degree views. Excellent service and perfectly prepared food. A bonus is a Woodstone brick oven for excellent breads and flatbreads. Carefully chosen wine list. Not you typical hotel restaurant, but a more refined dining experience.

Dockside is a very nice restaurant located in the Granville Island Hotel and overlooks the marina. Their outdoor patio is a great place for lunch or dinner when the weather is decent; usually April to October. There are quite often deals available through Groupon, Travelzoo, Entertainment Book, etc. Can sometimes be a little noisy.

While staying at the Granville Island Hotel, we reserved a table for dinner at the Dockside Restaurant. The restaurant's location is perfect. We were lucky enough to score a table overlooking the marina and downtown. Dinner was a delight! We selected the house Caesar salad to start with followed by the short rib and prime rib entrees. Both were fantastic!... More

Staying in Granville Island & Fairview

Neighborhood Profile
Granville Island & Fairview
One of the favoured neighbourhoods for a day out, Granville Island's packed theatres and art studios, hobby shops and book stores, restaurants and bars, all offer a plethora of activities and entertainment options, leaving no one bored. The highlight of the area is the Fisherman's Wharf, where the seagulls overhead and the smell of the sea invigorate its many visitors, some of who are there to shop the fresh wares at the public market, and others of whom have arrived to take in the eclectic atmosphere. A popular seafood destination, and Vancouver's leading spot for improv and amateur theatre, Granville Island is an indulgent, welcoming entertainment centre in any season or time of day.
