Great Italian food and atmosphere

We were immediately impressed when we walked in. Everyone was very friendly, the staff was abundant and very professional and the atmosphere was great. We went here last night for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. The prices were quite high but everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The service was attentive and friendly. It was quite noisy but as there were only 2 of us that was not a problem. I had the scallop starter... More

High end restaurant with excellent food and service. Extensive wine list, more of a book with to many choices. Prices are high but okay for a special dinner.

The vibe here is great with nice decor and an open kitchen in the back. Biz casual to formal dinning throughout, waitstaff were knowledgeable and attentive. The lobster bisque had good flavor, as did the spaghetti with the bolognese sauce. Sorbet was a great finish, I recommend 2 scoops of different flavors (dark chocolate and strawberry was very nice). Others... More

One of the best restaurants in Vancouver. If you're looking for a 5 star italian restaurant, this is the place to go. Food here is amazing, steak, fish and pasta. As well, chef will make you whatever you like or surprise you. Prices are very expensive, but you get top rate service and quality product. They make you feel special... More

Customer service was great, and restaurant had a great buzz about it. I ordered the sablefish and the pasta special with white truffles (supplementary cost applies). Both were delectably delicious. Photo attached is of the sablefish (with a slice of steak on the side from my husband). Sommelier was very attentive. Worth returning to every year when we visit Vancouver.

I fully enjoyed all aspects of this small and very discerning restaurant. I will add this to my ever growing list of Vancouver eating experiences. The food, although slightly smaller in portions, was mouth watering. Oh and the desserts were awesome. Sure, the prices were a bit higher but in my experience, you get what you pay for. Top chefs... Cioppino's is by far one of the best restaurants in Vancouver! My family and I went for a meal there last night. For appetizers, my husband had the Digby scallops and seared foie gras. He loved both dishes, especially the foie gras. He liked the fact that the dishes came with some accompaniements (veggies, pickles, etc.) which enhanced the taste.... More

In fairness the food is pretty good but it ends there. The prices are, in my view outrageous given the size of the plates. Forty bucks for the cioppino which is the size of an appetizer is gouging. Huge and expensive wine list and they won't do corkage shows their arrogance and greed. The restaurant is lucky to have a... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighborhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
