We have been dining at Chambar for years when we visit Vancouver from the U.S.. Food and service has always been top rate. Our favorites are the fig martini, the Congolese mussels and the lamb tagine. Only complaint in the past was the noise level that I am sure younger customers must prefer. This trip to Vancouver we were lucky... More

I ordered mussels and my husband ordered duck. Both were cooked very well especially the mussels which were the best I ever had in Vancouver. Their dessert was very outstanding too. In short, food was cooked just right to the perfect. Our server was Alex. He was very knowledgeable about the menu, made great suggestion on what to order, very... More

We were lucky enough to book for dinner on the re-opening night at their new location just next to the old. We were greeted by lovely staff who were personable, relaxed and yet right on their game. Walking through the restaurant to get to our table was an experience on it's own, with beautiful decor and amazing lighting. Service was... More

After we had dinner at the nearby Abbey, we came here for desserts. The restaurant was founded by a Belgian, and it didn't disappoint in that area! -- though interestingly, some of the desserts have Iranian influences as well. We came here mainly because of David Tremblay, a server who we came to know as a sommelier at another restaurant... More

Went with a group of friends from work and had a set menu organized ahead of time. Choose an excellent halibut which was perfectly presented with excellent accompaniments. Had the Collins lemonade to drink - very refreshing. Superb rose water custard for dessert - highly recommended. The restaurant is a bit on the noisy side and very lively, so be... More

I had originally made a 8:30PM reservation for a party of five. We arrived 20 minutes late due to Stanley Park traffic. Chambar was kind enough to hold our reservation. The food, service, and presentation is Excellent! We had ordered three appetizers, the cure meats, the smoked duck breast, and the albacore tuna. I specifically enjoyed the duck and tuna.... More
