Nice little joint and a bit tight for space but certainly packed on weekends and holiday, not the least expensive breakfast place but only OK or slightly below average. There were 3 of us and the place was not busy at all, plenty of free tables, Water and tea/coffee served promptly and was adequate quality, coffee not as hot as... More

My BIL's favourite breakfast restaurant. Stayed at the Coast Coal Harbour and had to drive to Kits to have this breakfast. I didn't want to go, and shouldn't have, but gave in. Not worth arguing. My mistake. For the umpteenth time. Used to live a block away, 25 years ago and still I went. Again. It was busy. Sunday morning.... More

There is nothing special about this place. Mostly locals go there and the food is consistently ok. The waitresses are polite but the lady who seats people is too busy on a weekend morning to really care to seat you as soon as it is possible for the cafe. So if you want to go in a grouper bigger than... More

eggs look/seem like they are poached in a microwave. blueberry buckwheat pancakes are awesome. they charge you to split meals. upgrade to fruit salad instead of hash browns is $3.50! nothing exciting going on here though.

This is a lovely spot and very cosy inside. That's about it for the merits. The food was boring and bland and the servers aren't very friendly.

This is one of my absolute favourite places for breakfast in Vancouver (I often come here for "breakfast" in the afternoon). Highly recommend the French toast or the chorizo eggs benedict. Drip coffee isn't particularly great but the latte/cappuccino is good. The tables are packed in like sardines, and there's still a long wait on weekend mornings. It can get... More

I had read the reviews and thought I might give it a try. The service was fine but the food....come on. The home fries were packaged and really poor. This place offers them as a side on practically every dish, so couldn't they be bothered to make real "home" fires. The omelet was mediocre, stuffed with avocados with black spots.... More

Great omelets and eggs Benedict, with variations to suit everyone. Friendly and competent service too, particularly good for breakfast regardless of time. Three of Vancouver's Fire/Rescue were there as well, and if service folk like it, it's got to be good.

Consistently great breakfasts. My blueberry buckwheat pancakes were out of this world and others I dined with last week always get the eggs Benedict.

You can judge for yourself how popular this place is (and has been for the last 20+ years) by the lineup on Saturday and Sunday. I've been here probably 100 times over the years and nothing ever changes, in a good way. The old Chinese lady sold the place (years ago) and now it's run by people I don't know,... More
