Awesome food. We got the special where you share around 7-9 dishes from starter to desserts. It was very reasonably priced and we had very generous portions. Great atmosphere, great service, what's not to love!?

This place was awesome. We had rutti, papaya salad, lamb, kung pow chicken, and rendang beef. All were delicious. Definitely recommend.

This place is my favorite Vancouver restaurant. I've been going here for the past 10 years every time I visit. It truly is exceptional. I've never been to Malaysia, but once I went with a colleague who had, and he said it was the best Malaysian food he's had outside of that country. Regardless, the place is a cozy spot,... More

The Malaysian soup is delicious and reasonably priced --a spicy broth filled with nicely-sliced seafood.. A treat from our more bland American food. The place was filled at lunch-time. The service was prompt and attentive.

Nice and reasonable Malaysian food in Vancouver. I tried the Denman street branch and though the place is small, the service is very efficient. Worth trying if you're around the area of English Bay beach.

We both had the Chicken curry. Mine was mild and my sister in law had the spicy original version and we both loved it so much, we over indulged and still had a portion to pack up. The roti was delicious with the sauce on the side. We were there around 6:30 and the place was nearly full. 10 minutes... More

As an Asian traveler familiar with Malaysian and Singaporean cuisine, I was excited to see a restaurant dedicated specifically to food from this region. I thought it couldn't meet expectations or be authentic, but I was VERY pleasantly surprised. We started with the roti canai, which was good but anyone can make a good bread-based appetizers. What really got me... More

I have eaten at Banana Leaf on West Broadway, Davie, Robson and Denman simply because I like spicy Asian food. I found the fixed menus a bit of a challenge because I feel the food may have been prepared hours before hand, which it is. Nevertheless, I found all these branches of Banana Leaf quite expensive and they don't like... More

We went to this place on the insistence of friends who made us walk a couple of miles just to get there. But it was worth it. I'd say the chow at Banana Leaf is better than anything I had to eat when I was in Malaysia.
