Class all the way!

Stopped in for lunch and had the best Eggs Benedict I've ever had. Service was amazing! I would highly recommend this restaurant nestled into the lovely boutique hotel Wedgwood for dinner or lunch. Its old world charm works its magic every time

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Bacchus and the service was exemplary. Tim also treated us like royalty, he even brought extra desserts to take to the room and escorted us to the elevator. What service. Thanks Tim!

The service in this old line Vancouver restaurant was outstanding. Our waiter gave excellent advice when we asked him pointed questions about what salad or entree to order after we told him about our food loves. The BC wine was available in half liters which is great for us as we do not want to drink a full bottle in... More

Enjoyed a great dinner with my wife. We decided on a more classic, high-end dinner instead of dinner at a more trendy place. Both food and wine were superb with very attentive and caring staff. Great place if you're looking for a more restaurant that feature a great bar and restaurant in a classical setting in downtown Vancouver.

This is an upscale dining and lounge. We loved having live piano music throughout dinner. Service is impeccable and not intrusive. The portions are not large but neither are they skimpy, so you can manage two courses and share a dessert without feeling overloaded. The fresh halibut menu is on now and I had not the daily feature but the... More

A great place for a nice romantic dinner. The dining room is adjacent to the popular bar and the piano player plays to both rooms. The food is exceptional as is the attentive service. Examples include an apple and Stilton salad. Grilled halibut with risotto, rack of lamb with baked creamed potato nibbles. Great ambience and never disappointing. The lounge... More

This restaurant is over-rated. We were seated on sagging chairs with nowhere to put our coats (and no offer from the staff to hang them up for us). Service was indifferent and at times almost arrogant. When we asked for more than the miniscule pat of butter on offer, we were grudgingly brought one more miniscule pat. The food was... More

We visited Bacchus last night with a party of four to celebrate a birthday. We had recently eaten a small meal in the lounge, from the bar menu which was very good so we were looking forward to the more formal dinning experience in the restaurant. The restaurant is very elegant with live music in the form of a pianist/vocals... More

I highly recommend this establishment. We had an early dinner, booked through "find table" and from being seated to the creme brûlée for dessert we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Service was excellent. Our waiter from Croatia has lived in at least two other Canadian cities and likes Vancouver best. He enjoys his job. The value and decor are right where... More

A nice way to finish off an evening out on the town - sit and listen to some light piano music in this quiet, old-world bar - overstuffed chairs and dark furnishings - this is an intimate, relaxing atmosphere kind of place. Ask for the dinner wine list if you are looking for something exquisite to end the night on.
