Hidden at the Wedgewood Hotel is Bacchus French Cuisine. The atmosphere is among the best in the city that I've seen, perfect for a quiet date night. Our server was exceptional, humorous and told great stories. Food was amazing as we expected.

We had a blast here! The food was good and the waiter, Scott, was awesome!! He was very thoughtful and friendly. I guess they didn't have a high chair so he brought our daughter a pillow to sit on. Also got her some crayons and paper to color while my husband and I enjoyed our meal. The food was to... More

We had a very memorable first time experience. All the staff played their role perfectly. Good customer service is everyone's responsibility. Our server was Scott and he was remarkable and very attentive to both of us. The food was top notch as well.

My sister adores Bacchus, so when we were looking for a Dine Out choice, she picked this longstanding restaurant, located in the Wedgewood Hotel. I had eaten here a few times previously and had always had a great experience myself, so was looking forward to being pampered. This classic boutique hotel spot does European ambiance very well. We had an... More

Situated in Wedgewood hotel. Great menu (lobster & crab bisque mmm mmm). Staff very efficient, both lounge casual and restaurant formal areas serve similar menus. Bar staff friendly and efficient. Old English club feel to it. Piano Bar also and incumbent performer very good. All around as I was staying at hotel no need to pound the pavement looking for... More

A friend and I went for dinner as part of the Dine Out Vancouver promotion. While I generally don't expect too much from hotel restaurants we had a superb meal. The duck liver brulee starter was sublime with the most buttery house made brioche. A braised short rib entrée was tender, flavourful and satisfying and the truffle frites which we... More

My husband and I ate at this restaurant while staying in the hotel. The service was awful. Our waiter was not attentive and did not treat us well while serving us. We saw him 3 times throughout the entire meal and other waiters were doing his job for him. The food was pretty good but did not come to the... More

Staying in Granville Street

Neighborhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
